Early 90s. 91 to 93. Growing up as a teenager in Los Angeles. baggy pants, beeanies, charlie browns, fresh jive, shell toes and whistles. Meeting friends at night. Driving to their house, picking them up down the street from their house so as not to wake their parents. Some had to sneak out of windows. Driving to melrose blvd. Beat Nonstop or DMC or some other small record shop to buy tickets. Waiting till 8 or 9 to get a phone number and directions to some abandoned warehouse, airport or condemned building crammed full of speakers, nitrous tanks, lasers, lights, and beautiful young people dancing, getting high, hooking up, making friends. To be young in LA in the early 90's

I saw this a while ago, but now i'm chiming in. Great little video. but i miss the Flyers with the Voice Mail Number telling you on the day of the event were the Map Point is and you go there, then you pay and get your tix and map and Drive 2 hours to where ever and Dance from 11pm till 3 or 4 hours after the Sun came up..... Then i was to the After Hours,,,, and After that, was go to Venice Beach to come down from a hell of a night. Best thing from the scene was the Smaller Undergrounds...... F.A.M.I.L.Y. (Friends And Music I Love You) for example was the best out of all of them In My Opinion of course.... Back then before Smart Phones and Social Media, we were all in little raver crews.... some as small as 2 people, others as large as 30 to 50 people...... but at the end of the day, We All Had Fun.... It was always an Adventure.....
