4 years of trying we gave up and then out of nowhere i was prego. we were in shock and are so happy, just 3 more months til we get to hold our boy.

We’ve had miscarriages and fertility issues and we always announce right away because we want to celebrate it regardless of what happens, and because it’s much harder to suffer alone/without support (for me, anyway). But I understand why people wait too.

I see nothing wrong with spreading the news early . Speaking as someone who’s had four losses it’s really sad to suffer alone . So we’ve always shared the news early. Support is a precious thing . It’s a problem society has this 12 week “rule” because it insinuates if something bad happens, you shouldn’t share and should keep it to yourself. It helps some to hear other’s stories and see they are not alone.

I know it is weird, but I actually appreciate over sharing on periods. Women are still stigmatized over it and tampons are treated as a non necessary beauty item. I've had 2 miscarriages and held my son as he died at 20weeks and 5 days. I told my family right away. I couldn't imagine suffering alone. But also, having lost my son at 20 weeks 5 days, there is no such thing as a safe zone. So why wait. Be excited no matter how early.

We were extremely lucky to fall pregnant very quickly with our three daughters- I would never outwardly say this in casual conversation (I'm only saying it now because it is relevant to this video) one of my friends said "I just have to wink at my wife and she gets pregnant." I cringed as it's so unnecessary to brag about. It doesnt make you better than anyone else, it makes you LUCKIER.

I feel that whenever you want to announce is the best time. I waited the 12 weeks with my first because of the risk of miscarriage. Then with my second we waited until 11 weeks but I couldn’t hide it much. We ended up having our son at 24 weeks and he passed away 48 hours later. With his pregnancy and passing I realized there really isn’t a safe spot to tell people that you are pregnant so you have to do what’s best for you. With our rainbow baby I waited until our first scan at 7 weeks then announced because even if we lost our baby I wanted to be able to share that that baby was loved (thankfully she is 2 and thriving though!) Also, on the religious part of praying like they do annoys me so much! My husband grew up in a religious household that prayed like this. My MIL actually told me while I was pregnant with my youngest that nothing would happen to her because the church was praying for us! 🙄😳 So were they not praying for my son since that’s the logic she chose to use. My husband has fully distanced himself from religion and I believe it’s because of the toxic religion his family has practiced and when life really breaks you the cracks really show.

I think it's perfectly fine to tell someone your pregnant whenever you feel like no matter how far you are into the pregnancy. These family vloggers though should wait before announcing to the world and just tell friends/family privately

How to take a pregnancy test 3 easy steps: 1. Test when you first wake up in the morning. 2. After catching sample in a cup, place test into cup for 20 seconds remove and place test on flat surface. 3. 2-3 minutes you will have your results. Easy peasy 🤣

This family is sooo incredibly privileged and these 2 come off as so dense. EverLeigh is clearly very talented and I hope she goes far in whatever she does and is safe🥺

The reason for not announcing so early is that 25% (1 in 4) of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, 80% of those occur in the 1st trimester and as many as 50-75% of those occur *before* there's even a positive pregnancy test. A ton of them are just mistaken for a heavy period. These family vloggers start testing _immediately_ so that 1) they can capitalise on that potential child ASAP, and 2) they know damn well there's a high likelihood of a loss that they can really only capitalise on by announcing sooo damn early. As disgusting as it is, If they waited till 12 weeks, they know there's only a relatively slim chance they'll be able to ride that gravy train of sympathy bcuz it's relatively uncommon for it to happen after 12 weeks.

Them and fishfam are the two family channels where I actually believe they keep having babies for content and views. Also I swear I remember cole saying once that he didn’t want a lot of kids but savannah wants a lot of kids

Not standing up for the labrants in anyway, but I think the stigma of waiting till 12 weeks to announce a pregnancy needs to be erased. Now I do think people should get confirmation from a doctor before telling, but you don’t HAVE to wait till 12 weeks. I announced at 9 weeks when I was pregnant,my son is almost 5 months old now, but we had an ultrasound that confirmed before we announced. People should not be shamed for announcing early, yes the chance for a miscarriage is higher before 12 weeks, but it shouldn’t be taboo if it happens. Some need that support if they miscarry. Obviously these people are just testing and announcing for views, which is disgusting.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I was going to wait until after I got a confirmation from the doctor before I told my family...until I was driving my Granny out to lunch and had to pull over and puke in the middle of the road. She was like "You preggo?" "Yep." "I knew it" lmao

I agree with so many things about this but my parents divorced when I was 2 years old and then married other people. So, I had 4 very involved parents most of my life. I can tell you that if at any point one of my step-parents didn’t refer to me as “their daughter” when introducing me or talking about me, I would be hurt.

I loved having the secret of pregnancy all to myself for a while because of an over involved judgmental family. I could go about life without the constant “well meaning” comments, questions and advice.

It’s definitely a personal choice on when to share the news. I know for myself I told my family and friends as soon as I found out because if something did happen I did not want to suffer in silence. I would have wanted the support from them.

The prayer before the positive test (which they definitely already knew would be positive) was gross. They are obviously trying to manipulate people like: “look what happens if you pray to god with your whole heart and if you don’t get what you want then you didn’t pray hard enough”. 🤮

Sorry for the second comment: only other way to confirm is a blood test from your doctor. But if you think you’re pregnant most OBGYN’s don’t even want to see you until 12 weeks. So the only way you know prior to waiting 3 months is to pee on a stick. But I’m sure I can speak for a lot of women who wish there was a better way!! Edit here too, again I’m horrible with not watching all the way through! These idiots have to know that evaporation line will show up on every negative test 🤦🏻‍♀️😫

I was so traumatized by multiple miscarriages and a surgery to fix my uterus, that I didn't tell my family (they all lived 1000 miles away anyway) until a week after he was born. He almost didn't survive the birth and pregnancy either. Its common practice to not say anything until after the first trimester unless it's close family, but I was just so frazzled I couldn't bare going through the process of telling my family about another potential loss and dealing with their feelings that I kept it to myself instead.

From someone who has had 6 miscarriages, people like this make me angry. It’s heartbreaking to go through, and you never fully get over it. Seeing people make pregnancy seem “easy” is so frustrating and upsetting. Btw after taking a pregnancy test leaving it sit can change the results. So maybe next time they should realize people are aware of these things before making a video about the results changing overnight 🙄

My concern with Everleigh's Dad spilling the tea is that it could damage her when she is older. We all know that once it's online it's there forever and posting negative stuff about the parents of your kids is never going to end well for the kids. I really wanted children but could never have them and I have also believed that the Lord would provide if it was meant to be. I am 63 and found out just a few years ago that I only have one ovary and it was underdeveloped. I recent people like this.

I’ve always waited till the 12 week mark, purely because in the UK that’s usually the first time you get a scan unless you pay for an early one. Plus it’s nice to have a scan picture to announce. If I had an earlier scan I’d announce to family, but still wait till 12 weeks to announce publicly. Just how I’d do it :)

I've learned that women judges in custodial situations are significantly more unbiased in terms of hearing out each side and hearing the evidence on both sides without a bias to riches and who they can afford to hire as their lawyer. There ARE some good male judges on the same side of good/evil parenting, but so many men are on the side of being angry that some men are definitely mistreated in a court setting and lose custody of their child and then something turns out so bad to the child because the judge didn't care about the evidence of why they were there in the first place. So yeah. Tommy could benefit from a female lawyer in the same sense. She would definitely listen to his side and help present it very effectively.

I had been trying ttc for 5 years only been pregnant once & it ended up in a miscarriage on my birthday. It was such a horrible horrible experience & when I go to the hospital where it all happened I get such anxiety its unreal. Before I miscarriage I had to have scans every 2 days and my hcg levels checked because they weren't doubling up. About 3 months later I started my first ivf treatment which was also traumatic as I had internal bleeding after egg collection & then after transfer I had a serious infection in my pelvis which they think was cause my internal bleed I had. My markers were up at 251 which they should be less than 10...anything over 100 is class as a bad infection. I was in hospital for 2 weeks. Unfortunately my transfer didn't work out because my infection didn't help. I have nightmares most nights going through both situations. It has been so hard. On top of that when I finally told people the same day I found my friend was pregnant who has the same due date. I didnt want to tell anyone tbh. Having infertility is so stressful ! It's only been recent I can watch certain videos or look at certain posts. Was rather shitty that they included the negative outcomes...try doing that every month for 5 years not every few days after a month of trying.

There is no privacy anymore, no boundaries, no special moments with just your loved ones. Exploit everything for the almighty dollar. I’m scared to see all of the children who are forced to live the vlogger lifestyle. My heart breaks for the kids. They will for sure have issues. I’d rather be poor and normal lol

I had to stop trying to conceive because of health issues, once they are resolved I will try again. If the test comes back positive I would not tell the whole world but I would tell my close friends and my brother so that if something bad happened they can be there for me.

I took 3 tests which were all positive and went to doctor for confirmation before I told my HUSBAND! It’s not something to take lightly at all. It’s a very exciting time but such an intimate time. Wouldn’t share this with the world yet.

I know you love a good ole family vlogging channel.. have you ever watched Emma and Ellie? The oldest daughter has carried that channel pretty much since it started.. the youngest daughter doesn’t hardly do anything and than the mom, well you’ll have to watch and see. I don’t watch them like at all anymore, because the mom would always go off on kids in the comments and she just always acted out and childish. That channel has always aggravated me, Emma, the oldest, not only is made to post on her channel, but is always the one recording on the main channel. Seems like a lot for a young girl.

The pregnancy flex is real. I never struggled with fertility so I NEVER ask anyone about fertility or when their having another one or starting a family. I know it can be so hurtful for those struggeling to get pregnant when others keep having No problems having babies.

In 2015 I had an early miscarriage, my only regret was not sharing my news I was pregnant and being able to celebrate that little life for as short as it was. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I shared immediately. I think waiting to share should really be up to the person 😀

Yikes !! They are going to keep having more and more. It’s common for people to announce early. I announced at 9 weeks after I had an ultrasound and had told all my family. My reasoning was I needed to have people happy with me or sad with me if something happened. But I don’t exploit my kids for money so I guess not the same thing 🤷🏻‍♀️
