Who knew all it took was 2 cards to make labyrinth such a powerful control deck. Lady Labyrinth herself can even be splashed into other normal trap decks since her summon and search ability also proc whenever a normal trap is activated.
And its not done Labrynth arias butler is releasing in the new age of overlord pack when that hits master duel labrynth will be even more powerful with its effect
@@seph2686 If you look at Big Welcome, you are see Arias's shadowed form. She is standing next to another shadow, so there should even be at least one more Labrynth monster left.
Important to note that not only Lady has to chain her effect in response to a trap card, but the trap cards also need to be "Activated". So if you have "Rainbow Bridge of Salvation", "Traptrix Holeutea", "Paleozoic" cards or any trap cards that has a GY effect in your GY, you can chain it in response to their trap cards to prevent Lady from setting EEV or DB because you using rainbow bridge etc is not count as activating a trap card but instead using the effect of the trap cards.
I've been playing Subterror Labrynth and I love it. Lady can help search Final Battle since it's a normal trap; which it great as you don't always have to rely on Guru to search it.
@@midoriyaizuku2429 Yea no problem. Playing floodgates would definitely make this stronger but not really a fan of playing them. I literally searched for a new player deck yesterday when I downloaded MS "on mobile" and saw a only tear deck on his channel. Happy to see this a day after !!! I've been watching MD since it's release on her but nvr played it "DL player 😅." I'm gonna focus on this deck, I hope to have fun then again as a F2P that might be difficult on mobile. Thanks in advance ❤❤❤
@@matogazilj6468 Yeah I had to delete it last night, it turns out that it isn't optimal playing it on mobile. Better to be played on a laptop or PC in general. Sigh- I do like though. I'm currently on a "redmi note 11." Low-key not optimal.
Just had a Lab mirror match. I went 2nd and got eradicator'd. I still made my opponent surrender turn 2. Best thing I've pulled off in this game thus far.
To this day, I still regret spending all of my currency on making a Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX deck. I thought Chaos MAX was good back then, but boy was I wrong. Silver forever...
Labrynth is a nice Deck for people wanting to come back since there's no big combos involved, but still does involve using your head sometimes. Regarding the secret pack itself, Konami just had to pad it out with Bakura's Destiny Board cards, so unless you really like Bakura, I guess they're safe to dismantle.
"since there's no big combos" And here's me who really wants to play this and really struggle to because this furniture cards combos are so hard to remember. Maybe I'm just stupid XD
Going second with Dlink or Tear against traptrix & labyrinth is kinda difficult. But I'm really surprised that bellow rogue tier deck like Musket (same pack with buring abyss) can easily out traptrix & labyrinth.
Musket can be strong by using ur opponents spells and traps to trigger your muskets effects, but the problem with muskets is that you can get a lot of dead hands with either all monster or all musket spells. The most consistent version muskets is runick since runick is very good at drawing cards and fixing that.
I don't use the deck but playing against it ist frustrating . If I don't want to play the game I can just not play it instead of being prevented from playing.
4:30 the reason cooclock doesn't trigger is because they have to be activating from the hand. It is not a bug. Discarding the other card in hand is a cost, not effect iirc. But also, isn't discarding and sending treated differently too? 8:30 I'd advise against tributing lovely because the opponent can then chain something like called by and use it on Lovely. Great video as always, thanks
@@in_Mythical oh thank you!! I worked hard on the deck! Can counter most decks, especially going second and the aim is to banish as many cards as possible with the combo of the magical circle, DM and eternal soul hahahah
In addition to how to play the deck I think it would also be nice to add something like how to counter the deck, kinda like how you said always chain block lovely.
Trap build like skill drain, rivalry? Because so far you can still use them since lab only need 1 trap each aside from their own archetype so you can still play them.
As a new player, I copied the one I saw online and it’s a mess. After building it up, with ultra rares and stuff. I found out that I can’t even summon them because I don’t have the necessary cards on my deck. Thanks.
The only missing about this labyrnth deck is Lady Labyrnth Summon Animation, like why the heck they dont give her an animation! Minus credit to the devs!!!
The best guide against Labrynth? Three Royal Decree, two Red Reboot and a Jinzo deck. And yes... Almost every soul will play Labrynth in the next event (only Fairy & Fiend allowed).
I playing DDD or DarkWorld and the deck I made for labrynth decks I been almost Undefeated with only one lost and I still can beat tear decks too my deck I made is very consistent
Don't need a guide for labry since I love/play it so much, but PLEASE do more guides/content like this for other decks. God knows so many of us need em for way harder decks. I would appreciate it so much.
Somehow, someway, I want to see players try to make Jinzo work in this meta. As much as I like Labrynth, I don't want it to be another Runick or Tearlament. I know Red Reboot is a thing, but it'd be funny to see a 2000s card shut down a modern strategy.
technically holeutea already fix that problem. Cooclock need to discard itself and Holeutea need to discard 1 normal trap so its basically the same, which is triggering each of their main combo starter (for traptrix its Sera and for labs its Big Welcome). And traptrix also has their own Runick Fountain in form of "Traptrix Atrax" and Traptrix Atrax has the effect "You can activate "Hole" Normal Trap Cards from your hand."
@einzer5670 holeutea is good but it's not a disruption and Atrax doesn't fix the problem of the deck not being able to activate traps set by sera and dionea which happens in both players turn
If you're only trying to build Labrynth, Secret might be better only bc the "guaranteed 1 in 10" SR/UR will change the very last pick-up card, which draws from a smaller pool in the secret pack, but generally all the cards are in both now so it doesn't make a big difference.
I've used Muckraker a lot but Underworld Goddess and Exciton have won me quite a few games. Goddess deals with anything that Lovely or IDP can't hit and it's easy to get a bunch of bodies on board. For some reason Exciton just ignores Muckraker and Lady Labrynths destruction immunity? I'm not sure why it does, but it's come up in the mirror match a few times.
Exciton can't destroy both usually 1. Muckracker can substitute destroy 2. Lady as you said is immune while they control a set card but else you must likely get rid others
Instead of solemn strike would chain hole work better its a normal trap that can negate a hand trap and make you're opponent choose to banish another one of that hand trap or one random card from hand
Well I’m a zombie player. It doesn’t matter. You’ve effectively helped me with how lab plays. Can’t tell you how many matches in master I won against them when they thought they were cooking and then scooped when they realized it never mattered
I tried using Lovely to handloop on turn 1 a few times but every time just hit a tearlaments card... I learned to just play it safe and setup then go into D.Barrier instead. Also I've noticed quite a few weird bugs with the Labrynth effects not activating.. I do it the same way every time but Ariane and Cooclock just won't activate their 2nd effects on turn 1 sometimes.
Arianna and Arianne are 2 different monster You can only use 1 Arianna effect per turn (if u add u cant draw) Cooclock in order to activate you should send cooclock first then any furniture in order to make cooclock activate So that cooclock hit the GY first or else you can't summon or add cooclock from GY
Isn’t possible to, with toggle on and clock already sent to grave with its effect, activate a normal trap while lady is on field chain, her effect to grab virus or any normal trap and activate the virus..even if opponent is still in battle phase and potentially snipe Evenly before they go to main phase2? Just like how expulsion in Branded with toggle on let’s you play around or through an Evenly?
Concentrated light can be bounced or being destroyed ofc while Royal decree is not there yet... You can summon Knightmare Phoenix or Cerberus to get rid it by battle For Knightmare Phoenix it can destroy Royal Decree... But plz note you most likely said that you against Runick ughhh 😅
Furniture cards are okay. However, floodgates win games all on their own. Especially since Master duel decks dislike running spell/trap removal. Floodgates version is definitely better.
There is a bug where after activating cooclock you can’t activate the traps you set this turn, it doesn’t matter if you set it before or after activating cooclock sometimes for no reason it just won’t activate
Deck ends up being really good if you know the right combos. I was going toe to toe with a spright deck and i was a tough match until i hit deck devestation virus
For Labrynth and Abyss Actor players alike. Surprisingly, a matchup between AAs and Labrynths are 60/40, as Abyss Actors can actually permanetly switch control of one of their monsters with yours. Make sure you have a backup plan VS Comic Relief
5 out of the last 10 games against Labrynth I had Evenly Matched in my hand. 5 out of those 5 times Lovely Bitch destroyed exactly Evenly Matched. I thought it was supposed to be at random...
Im already tired of this deck. The usual release of some busted cards to cash in at the expensive of everyone's enjoyment. Then when they are satisfied, they release a ban list. F Konami
I wouldn't say it's a deck for beginners, it requires you to think about your plays a lot as well as knowing your opponent's decks. I would put it for intermediate or high duelists
Bruh i lost to labrynth one time with my dark world deck. I say the deck is good but not that good especially against my deck thats very consistent and resourceful even with all spells or traps 🤷🏾♂️
