Yup same. My Ortho just puts on random colours , lucky she chooses pale colours like very light blue, silver. I would flip if she put bright colours without asking

I think i do have lace ties except theyre “tighter”? Theyre fully twisted between each bracket, and not just one criss cross (just like what you did at the end before tucking it behind the bracket) THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS ❤️

Curly girly The canine will eventually come down? Because my orthodontist only said there’s a possibility that it will come in after putting on braces and after I extract the four teeth next to my canines to make space, if not there might have to be a surgical procedure to invite in that missing canine. And right now it’s not looking too good. My front row seems to be shifting towards one side and it they’re quite slanted....

Lovely Doll Time haha mine is EVEN worse. all my canines are impacted and my premolars have to be extracted. There is literally NO space at all. It hurts like hell but I guess I can hold on tit for a couple more months

Just got my lace ties installed on six of my bottom front teeth after 5/6 months since I have braces, could instantly feel the mild pressure. I like it, it looks nicer than elastics.

I've brushed my teeth so "thoroughly" on a number of occasions, that I brushed the lace tie "pigtail" out of place and stuck myself. 😲🥺🤕

@@jackiemejia9417 Try covering it with wax. Or try to gently tuck the end of the tie so it's not irritating you. If you don't believe you can adjust it safely, check with the office. Pray all goes well for you. ☺️

I just got braces in june and I have a cross bite. You just get regular braces and later on you'll just wear rubber bands in a specific way

I also have a cross bite and been wearing braces from last year October. Mine has caused tmj issues and make wearing elastic painful. I've seen a lot of changes and I'm hopeful it will be off sooner than the 30 months

@@craigbather6316 your top teeth (in the front) are naturally supposed to “rest” outside of your bottom teeth when you bite down/close your mouth. A cross-bite is when one or more teeth are out of this alignment, like a canine that might tuck behind the bottom teeth rather than in front. It “crosses” over the imaginary line/fence thats supposed to exist vertically. When ALL the bottom teeth and/or the bottom jaw itself juts out ahead of all the top teeth, it becomes more of an “underbite”.

I was on a power chain last few months and now I am on my lace ties. My dentist didn't asked me for a colored elastic o-rings because he said that I am no longer needed it since I am already on a lace ties. I can feel the pressure all over my teeth. I got lace ties, but didn't realize I had them until I saw them a day after my appointment. I am a bit confused why they were put on when I personally still see a gap between the teeth, but I am still really new with them I have only had them for 2 months

My othro placed lace ties on my front teeth with power chains. Why would this have been done? I love your explanations. My othro doesn't explain anything and gets defensive when I ask questions. I have lace ties on both the top and bottom teeth. My orthodontist calls it a gain tie? I've had this type of tie for over a year 😢 and I can't wear colored rubber bands so my mouth is just silver metal. Thankfully I get my braces off in a couple of months! Also using a waterpik to floss is a million times easier than regular string floss 😊

My dentist used these when she tried to do my braces. She called them "over-unders". It was to hold teeth on one side together while using power chains and springs to close space on just one side. Only the force used created a slight cross bite somehow? on my front teeth. So something wasn't working quite right...also my midline moved over about 1mm in the wrong direction...so sadlythose over-unders didn't completely work for me, to prevent them moving. I am now with an orthodontist who is using elastics on one side and power chain to close the space on the one side. He may use tads if needed at some point. Speaking of elastics... QUESTION: What does an elastic, on one side, from tooth 6 (top) to 4 (bottom) do? Will that correct bite and/or midline?

Hi! Love your videos. They have helped me out so much. I got my upper braces put in 5 weeks ago and my first tightening 2 days ago. I got this procedure done but on my front teeth and they were individually tied instead of how it was done in your video. Is it the same? No pain though… just a little irritation that wax can help out with. Have a great day!

Your videos helped me get through the first few weeks comfortably so thank you! As a side note it’s been 3 weeks since I had braces put on and for most soft foods I can eat easily, Sometimes when I try to bite off a hamburger or hotdog however it hurts in one particular area or tooth, is this the teeth moving and still getting accustomed?

I have adult braces. I had overcrowding and had 4 extractions (which were very painful for about 2 weeks because I had braces on for 3 months at this point.) Once I was in for my next appointment I had lace ties put on to help close the gaps. Let me tell you that appointment for the last 3 months when they twist those ties always feels like my teeth are going to get pulled outta the sockets! No idea how much longer they are gonna be one, but I just hope I dont have to have them on longer than the 2 years they estimated because I am adult vs a child.

I just regret my decision of pulling out my braces earlier😞 I should have come here ealier. I got my lace tie last october 2020, and I can't come back to my dentist because it's too far from where I move in. So I have to go to a nearby dental clinic to remove my braces and have my retainer. I'm so anxious of my teeth to deform or come back to its original form. I should have wait more and return to my original dentist.
