The city of Lachish was second in importance in the Kingdom of Judah after Jerusalem. This video focuses on the destructions of Lachish by the Assyrians in 701 BCE and the Babylonians in 586 BCE. The story of the destruction of Hezekiah's Lachish by Sennacherib is the ultimate in the corroboration between the Bible and archaeology.
