Thanks very much! Yes, I definitely recommend a deeper exploration of the band's discography, there's some great music in there.

@@realBlakeX I think the problem is there really is so much good music out there if you're willing to look. My problem is I AM willing to look then I hear new music by a band and want to hear more. Then the youtube recommendations throw out another band and the damn cycle starts again. So the next week I'm dedicating to Lacuna Coil (and Jinjer. Always Jinjer).

Thanks man, and you know I totally understand that! Sometimes your playlist is just so full that you don’t even think to check out certain bands - happens to me all the time! I actually first heard one song by this band in the early 2000s and it wasn’t until years later that I checked out their full discography and became a hardcore fan. So for checking out their stuff, it depends what you like. Shallow Life and Dark Adrenaline are great, fun albums but they tend to have a softer, more catchy, verse-chorus-verse sound and style, one might even argue some pop elements - and they were sort of doing that in a tongue in cheek way. But I love those albums when I want something light and softer. Their very first albums - In A Reverie and Unleashed Memories, plus Half Life EP, have much more of a gothic rock sound. (“Hyperfast” and “Falling Again” are good songs from this era, even though they were still finding their footing as a band.) Broken Crown Halo has a really dark, vampiric kind of sound but still with melody, and some electronic elements. Delirium and the upcoming Black Anima album are both very heavy and deal with some dark subjects. Delirium focuses a lot on mental illness, things like that, and again has some electronic elements in the music. “Die & Rise” is my favorite song from Broken Crown Halo and “Blood, Tears, Dust” is a really good one on Delirium. And finally, what I consider their best album is Karmacode, but a lot of people who aren’t used to Lacuna Coil sometimes don’t like music from this album. It has a lot of Eastern musical elements and is very somber, has good vocal harmonies, some songs have a kind of tribal sound almost. That is also a great place to start - “Our Truth” and “Fragments of Faith” are both good tracks from this album. Whew! Sorry for the long reply, I think you just triggered my Lacuna Coil insanity, haha. Happy listening, brother.

Oh and I consider Comalies probably the most "skippable" album, even though I enjoy it. I think that album is more of a grower, takes time to appreciate it. Karmacode is that way for some people too, guess it really depends on your taste.
