Exactly. People don't have enough self respect. That, or they just don't appreciate what they have until it's too late. I have seen too many cases where coming back is only temporary. Then all you got back was your boyfriend having sex with you a few more times and then dumps you again.

Thanks so much for sharing this.... I really needed to hear the TRUTH. My boyfriend of 2 years suggested that we have a "break" so that he can figure out what he wants and if a long term relationship (marriage) is if he wants for us. He asked if I could wait for him, but everyone is telling me to move on. I love this man and wanted to fight/wait for my man but after hearing this. OMG I am delusional Debbie!! I am the one chasing him or waiting for him to call me telling me what he wants. UGH! I need to let him go. Thanks for sharing... I really REALLY needed to hear this.

Especially now that we live in a day and age in which there's not much pressure on people to really commit to monogamous relationships: divorce rates are high and over 70% of them are initiated by the *female* (yes, it's ironic that the gender that pushes for commitment the most is also statistically the one most likely to bail out first) - this idea of "til death do us part" is no longer a reasonable expectation. It's hard to get over someone when you can't find ANYONE better. All that's out there is someone EXACTLY like your Ex or WORSE. You live in Houston Texas so it may be easy for women to move on to someone BETTER, but in New York or LA....Good Luck. It's NOT that easy to just find another man. You live in a world of FANTASY. I agree and that’s why a lot of those exes end up coming back. A lot of guys just want to be single and have fun while keeping you waiting till they decide they’re ready to settle down, and unfortunately a lot of women are forced to accept this because they couldn’t find anyone better either. Will Wright because women don't have time to waste on a man with potential , someone said that potential is imagination... its not real ... and also women don't need to work like a man with a man... if she does she might as well be single ... building together is fine if that is what you NEED but in reality most women want to be the woman... and not the provider .. she wants a man who she can feel safe with.... if she got sick or quit her job to raise kids if she wants to.. If I was with a man who MADE me work after We had kids, I would have divorced him lol ... so... you see different women want different things.. I wanted security first and foremost... other women might want other things first and foremost but I was looking at my life and the life of my children to come and the type of life I wanted for them... I wanted them to have a mother who picks them up from school , cooked them dinner and was actually there for more than just a few hours a day... I needed a husband who was in agreement to his children having the best life and a present parent in their lives daily for more than just a couple of hours... ANd Not sending them to day care for them to raise and care for them while I work 8 plus hours a day for another man...who i see more than my husband... yes, My husband was on board to be the provider so his kids could have a good life..

SheRaSeven1 Yes dreaming without putting forth the effort is just that dreaming or 'potential'. For example in my case from 4:30 in the morning to 9 at night some time 10 o'clock at night building my business. Everyday even on weekends. Nothing happens over night. If two people are committed they should find resolve in working towards a vision of what they think their life should look like. I'm speaking from personal perspective. It will be very difficult for me after 10 years of working towards a vision and obtaining that vision to fully appreciate someone after the work is done. Oppose to someone who went through the ups and downs of building that life. The respect and admiration would be boundless. I believe that's what holds people together, the experiences. Ten years from now when i'm 35 with much more to lose monetarily, it will be very difficult to be open to someone. If it doesn't work they are going to want half of what they didn't help me build. While i was building, it wasn't a viable option.No, I can't except that.
