She said she didn't want to sell perfumes anymore after her second perfume but that doesn't mean she didn't like to work on this one, the first. At some point they were just forcing her to create more perfume and that's this pressure she spoke about...
When Lady Gaga first came onto the scene, I said the exact same thing. I thought she was just strange, bizarre and just out there. And then I found out what she's about and I understood her artistry and her intentions. Now, I'm a big fan of what she does. We need more people like her in the world. She really has a good heart. She's not perfect, and in her private life, she's flawed like you and me, but based on what she's done in her past, in terms of charity, she has demonstrated kindness.

No. I wear perfume because nice scents make me feel good, no matter if it's outdoors or indoors. Not everyone wants to be a slut, desperate to attract mates. I prefer to be on my own actually and I don't like to be bothered by strangers.

I use to spray that shit all over me when I was 8, realizing the only people who liked the scent were older woman, not old woman, mid 20-30s woman. All the kids thought I smelt weird lol.
This perfume was very disappointing. I love Gaga. I love perfume. When I heard she was launching a scent I had wild expectations of a dangerous, unique, unusual smell, possibly even a STENCH with wild essences of an opium den, a sweaty Nazi uniform, a gargled and spat out martini, the boot of a dominatrix, tears of a twink, Chanel lipstick and Aqua-Net, a Nat Sherman that's been crushed out by a vintage Louboutin on a NYC sidewalk, etc. dirty, interesting, lustful, dangerous, violent, shameful, guilty, painful, just...SOMETHING!!! When I saw it, I immediately loved the bottle design, the brilliantly obvious metaphor of the disappearing black fluid,and the sexy, stark packaging. I bought it and put it on and was devastatingly disappointed. I wanted to be challenged and possibly made uncomfortable by this scent, yet be enraptured by it and love it. I was made uncomfortable, all right. It was boring and childish. It smelled like something with a Hello Kitty or a Disney Princess label on it, made for 10 year old girls. It smelled safe, boring and cheap. I can, however, imagine a slut wearing this- just not the good kind of slut. Wearing it does not necessarily make me feel slutty. Just cheap, stupid, common, and uninteresting. I had never seen this interview before today, and after seeing this interview, I almost wonder if this perfume was meant to be ironic or the actual scent itself a metaphor. Or an ironic metaphor. If so, ya, got me. At least it eventually did make me ponder and think, so it absolutely does serve an "artistic" purpose in a very Warhol kind of way. Good one, Gaga.

You are wrong. She has always taken care to enunciate her word. Albeit she did giggle a lot more and speak with a much higher pitch during her initial debut. She's only now so it's on reasonable to assume her voice has matured and deepened as well. I've seen her live twice as well 2010 & 2012 and I can tell you she speaks with this exact same accentuated speech.
Lady Gaga stays away from the paparazzi and any article written about her in the tabloids is old news or a lie, but she is in the media because of her impact on pop music. You don't need to like her, but you don't need to hate on her for her success. Not all artists are the same! Lady Gaga is extravagant and every performance or idea that she has is in-depth and has a meaning. You don't understand her therefore your opinions lack FACTUAL information.
I totally agree on that. About every single famous person on the world. I wouldn't stand it. I think some of them are empty-headed enough not to realise fame destroys their lifes. But I like to think Gaga gives more importance to the rewarding side (not talking about money, now). Fame is something I'll never understand, I guess.
Not sure if you've ever seen any other interviews she's in, but her voice pretty much sounds the same. She definitely doesn't sound like some ditsy blonde American girl if that's what you're assuming. She even speaks this way during her live concerts.
You're misinterpreting her, she said that she told herself she was famous when she was a struggling artist. A few years ago she said that the feeling of fame hadn't sunk in yet because for so long she was a nobody in New York. By the way, she did all of these interviews for her perfume AFTER they came out and became the 2nd most sold perfume in the world. If you knew anything about her you would know she's not in this industry for the money... You seem to be obsessed with her, but you hate her?
