Iconic. Iconic. ICONIC. Alexander McQueen is missed dearly. Gaga's tribute was so fitting, telephone was his favorite song of Gaga's, and when she went into Dance in the Dark it was so fitting #TellEmHowYouFeel
To me this is probably one of the best performances of all time. Lady Gaga's voice is just so beautiful and unique. I could watch it over and over again.
Watching this knowing we also lost Thierry Mugler earlier this year hurts even more, those two McQueen & Mugler are Irreplaceable. Their work inspired gaga on so many levels and they have us one of the most interesting eras of fashion in decades it’s so sad that we lost them but thank god we had them and we got to witness their beautiful artistry
Yup, in an interview she said she wrote Born This Way after Alexander McQueen's death, and she got a lot of inspiration from Born This Way, and wrote most of Born This Way's songs after that.
Bjork sung "gloomy sunday" which is considered a suicide-inducing song in history and in itself more depressing than what gaga did. I love both of their performances but Gaga's tribute is more like "we love you and thank you and we miss you". Bjork's tribute is more "how i can go on with you being gone". They are both good tributes but are completely different.
This was a really hard thing for me. Lee's death really killed me. I felt like I had lost someone close to my life. This is a beautiful dedication to someone who is so missed.
@hollyrosebud8 the first one is 'Telephone' (although, this is an acoustic) and the second is 'Dance In The Dark'. Both found on the album 'The Fame Monster'
