I think I'd like her more with these kinds of performances more often. She's not a great dancer so that keeps me from being pulled into the other performances where she's doing so much choreo or just standing in place with a costume.
@lakota410 I respect your opinion as well. Yes, she sings live and interacts with the crowd, but I think that should be a requirement for anyone who calls themselves a singer, puts on a show, and charges $200 for it. For me that isnt really a big deal because my fave artists do that anyway. People let Britney rule the roost for too long so forgot what actual vocal capability means. I am more impressed by a display of vocal range, which Gaga doesn't have as an alto, but she can sing okay.
@ctizzle10 I didn't say range was ALL that matters, but don't come at me like I should be acting like she is the best singer. From how you speak, I doubt you're an expert in it. It's just bothering you that I criticize something about her that you think is flawless. I know she went to school. I just personally don't find what she does challenging. If I need a good dose of a nice smokey voice I can listen to Amy Winehouse (when she's not trying to be Amy Crackhouse).
@gheorghew I'm terribly sorry. My aunt got on my iPad. I think lady gaga is a wonderful person and has a beautiful voice. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
@ctizzle10 There's no doubt that Gaga's hot right now. I'm just saying that if you have to bring it up, the statistics on youtube has biebs with the #1 most viewed video and it bothers stans. And yes, I grew up singing in choir and playing piano. So I know about range, keys, when artists have to sing something in a lower key and register because they can't handle higher notes, etc. Christina Aguilera, for comparison, has some of the best vocal range out there.
@ctizzle10 You see, I don't hate her voice. If I did I wouldn't like this performance. You aren't getting what I'm saying. It's better than Spears' by a mile. It's just that I have heard better. I grew up singing in choir and playing piano, so I'm hard to please in those areas, but you don't need the strongest voice for me to enjoy you as an artist. When it's JUST Gaga's voice, it's not bad. I just don't get into her dancing stuff or her image. That's ALL I'm saying.
@sentafria ???? the fuck!?!?? You must not even know gaga that woman NEVER EVER SINGS IN PLAY BACK!! DONT OFFEND HER!! SHES NOT ANOTHER BRITNEY SPEARS -.-
@EricLeeLeBeau Sorry, her dancing leaves much to be desired. I grew up watching MJ, Janet Jackson, Usher, Mya, Madonna, Aaliyah, Ciara, just to name a few. She just looks like a stiff white girl with lame choreo. As for performing, she ain't the worst but is hardly the best. She normally doesn't draw me in and everything she does has been done before. This is the first live performance where I genuinely like it, but even still it isn't the best performance I have ever seen.
