We’re heading back to 2008… Flo Rida was rapping on every pop song, electronic sound effects were the way, and LADY GAGA debuted!!
Today we’re continuing on the Lady Gaga deep dive and listening to the all so iconic ‘The Fame’. Did you listen to it when it debuted? How does it hold up now? As always let us know!

You should have her react to iconic gaga live performances. She just hits different live. She puts her everything into it everytime like no other. ✨

The genius of this album is that she's singing about living the high life, being rich and famous before she'd ever experienced it. When people listened to her, they believed her, and basically took her word for it. She approaches everything she does with such confidence that you believe she's going to pull it off before she even attempts it, and THAT'S how you get staying power and keep people on their toes.

👏🏼👏🏼 so so true, and when I was younger this didn’t click with me but was also made it such a great album when you’re young and dreaming of what’s to come (if that makes sense)

Omg LOVE that moody and chill light / atmosphere in here! Beautiful, Dirty, Rich sounds so different because she had made the song 2-3 years prior before she became so heavily interested in electronic and bubblegum pop stuff. That was when her songs were more Jazz inspired! After that she got dropped by her first record label, hence why she got really depressed and went completely "mad" and provocative and Poppy with Poker Face n stuff :)
@LydiaandJessiePlaylist

Wow I never knew that! It makes more sense why she came back to the jazz sound with Tony Bennett too

besties 2 funfacts! 1) in paparazzi its quite funny when she says "loving you is cherry pie" ´cause she meant it was toxic since she was allergic to cherries! 2) in starstruck she says something like "with your dre headphones" and whats funny is that she collabed with dr. dre who is the soul creator of beats and made lady gaga beat headphones!
@LydiaandJessiePlaylist
@LydiaandJessiePlaylist 2 года назад
Omg the cherry reference! I always thought she loved cherries because of the production tag haha. And you gotta love all the Dre headphones back in the day!

Hello girls, I want to congratulate and greet you, I see you from the other side of the world, from Colombia, I wanted to congratulate you because it really is one of the reactions that pat me that enjoy music and feel it, not only for visits, you will have a new follower on the channel, and as Little Monsters it is beautiful to see what gaga music has become, I think it's like wine, the more the years go by their albums become more icons and it's amazing hows this album has become a beginning and a change for a before and after for Pop music, that is the most valuable thing about Gaga, she always provokes these changes in music, and does not follow the trends, Thank you girls for enjoying and bringing back this ERA

it was great to watch this reaction and a lot of people do assume that she started this electronic dance sound within mainstream pop music so i dont blame you divas for that but you should def use this as an excuse to react to britneys blackout (2007) as many people (including critics) count it as the pivot for the electronic style of music that ended up dominating the charts (post gimme more) and all thru out the 2010s up til now! all thanks to britney herself and main (at the time underground) producer of the album danja! so yeah definitely give it a listen!! anyways love the vid, ate per usual

You should react to the 8 (I think) songs of The fame monster that isn't on this one! And about her most iconic songs I'd say Pokerface, Bad Romance and Telephone maybe? I've never liked Just Dance myself actually, Paparazzi has been an all time favourite for me :)

Yh Bad Romance, and then Pokerface, are easily her 2 most iconic songs. By this point maybe even Born This Way at number 3, or Paparazzi. Maybe even Shallow but while Shallow was insanely popular, I don't think it's necessarily as iconic as any singles from The Fame, Fame Monster, or the Born This Way album. Infact I'd say Applause is more "iconic" than Shallow, despite clearly not being quite as popular. I mean I could keep going on but liiike, the Edge of Glory, Telephone with Beyonce, Ale-Ale-Alejandro, even songs like Judas. Liiike, these are songs everyone knows as THE SHIT. And yh, Beautiful Dirty Rich is sooo fucking cool. Idk what point I was making, I've had bottle of Rosé, but I guess, basically, Gaga is another level of megastar. The Bowie of our generation ❤💙
@LydiaandJessiePlaylist
@LydiaandJessiePlaylist 2 года назад
The fact she has so many songs that could be considered iconic 😳 I think I’d go for Pokerface, Bad Romance and Shallow! Then you’re covering quite a few years (although Born This Way is sooo close)
@IStandBrokenxo

paper gangsta is actually about her first label def jam that dropped her because they wanted her to dull herself down and be more pop and use autotune etc... hence the lyrics 'sometimes i feel so def in the jam' and the overly autotuned vocals :)

The reason people think it is f-f-f uck her face is because gaga was sneaky af and sent out a version where she is swearing to the radio, and they didn't notice hahah but it doesn't actually say the f word on the actual song... also paper gangsta and money honey are my favesss, so gutted she hasn't performed some songs live ever
@tristianbjork5634
@tristianbjork5634 2 года назад
Also, the reason she used auto tune in paper gangsta cuz islts a middle finger to Def jam when they dropped her since they wanted her to autontune everything so she did it on. A diss track... one of my all time faves of hers tbh
