I was shocked but the kit thing. I like his character and can't wait for more about him. Also Livvy and Ty they were my fav but I feel a Harry Potter Fred situation and I think one of them is going to die.

It's stated in the book that because Emma and Julian love each other their parabatai bond gets stronger (which is why she was able to heal the arrow wound), but the downside is that their love corrupts their bond and they fall into madness. That's why falling in love with your parabatai is forbidden. Fun fact: The chapter titles and the message are all lines from Edgar Allen Poe's Annabel Lee

I forgot that Kit was blond, so the entire time I imagined him being tan with brown hair and then the reveal happened, like by the angel. This is definitely Cassie's best book yet, I actually made a tag on it. Did you read "A Long Conversation", I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I had to read "The Lottery" for AP Lit this year, so I thought he had to be killed not the killer and yeah! Great video!

I feel like I have to point out that we actually do see poor Cameron Ashdown once. Kit describes him on page 6 of the prologue and he introduces himself to Johnny Rook on page 8 when Rook asks Emma if he (Cameron) is "the famous parabatai".

Anyway saw the Kit thing coming xD but Mark and Kieran is my main ship! When mark said that he should have stayed with the hunt i was so heartbroken and i to be honest was agreeing with him so much, and when Kieran said the stars would have dissappeared/dimmed out before i forget you mark blackthorn made me wanna bawl my eyes out

I'm reading lady midnight at the moment, only on chapter 13 though I ship mark and Kieran so much already !!

I believe there is a connection in the story from Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy about James (Will and Tessa's son) and Christopher (Henry and Charlotte's son) relating to TiBerius. More so Ty and James. It was discovered that James had a unique power and I believe Ty has the same power that just hasn't been discovered. Let me know what you think !! :)

Living for these musical numbers

So you said Julian and Emma do things that parabatai usually don't, but we've been told the Simon and Clary would also sleep in the same bed when they were kids, even before they were parabatai, and all the trauma that happened in Julian and Emma's lives that most likely made them want company 24/7 hadn't happened to Simon and Clary yet. We also know Jace and Alec as parabatai, but we really don't know much about how intimate they are. There's also Will and Gem (right? I haven't read the clockwork series but I plan to) but I don't know like, anything about them.

The Malcolm reveal had me OMG but that Kit reveal....I literally gasped so loud and fell on the floor. My roommates had to check and see if I was okay. I'm so so so glad I was not spoiled for this book.

I don't know why anyone isn't talking about Magnus walking in on Jace proposing to Clary. Not only did he walk in on another couple but the fact that Jace proposed!!!!!

No one has mentioned this memory yet....in the entire TMI series, the idea of disfiguring a rune is mentioned and done. It was Luke who first mentioned it to Clary and it was Clary who did it with Jace's rune. And in ID, Jems uncle presents Cortana to Will, he does mention that it was created by wayland the blacksmith. Same person who created the short sword that clary has and the long sword sebastian had. They were both said to have advantages for the true wielder of said weapon. Meaning, a Thor and mier-mier situation. 😉 Also, in this book, jem and Emma's father reconfirm, that Cortana can cut through anything. So, it stands, without saying, that either on purpose or "accidentally on purpose," Cortana will be used to sever the tie between parabatai. It's a long winded theory, but it works...in my mind atleast. Lol

So happy for this review, needed to brush up before beginning Lord of Shadows 😍

I loved any scene with Mark, Ty, or Kit in it! I agree that I don't believe that Malcolm is dead till I see a body. I'm amazed that you were able to discuss so much in such a short time--my video is over 30 minutes long.

I read the Kit reveal and texted my friend who was still reading the book, and said, “WHY ARE THERE SO MANY MISSING HERONDALES??? LIKE WILL AND TESSA COULD ONLY HAVE HAD SO MANY KIDS!” Because we know Cecily’s descendants are Lightwoods because Isabelle wears her necklace... so obviously they are Lightwoods and not Herondales...

I loved Lady Midnight so much! Plus I get that it is kinda creepy that Jules has a room filled with paintings of Emma, but since it's the Jules I know and love, i could never consider him as a creepy guy and I forgave him for his obsessions lol.

Omg Jesse!! I had the same thoughts about watching Cassie grow as an author. And no one saw the ending coming. Yes!!! The TMI shirt!! And Church!! Yeah, and no one thinks Malcolm is dead either. I think maybe Annabel resurrects him. I think everyone's going to love Kit (Christopher Jonathan, the opposite J.C.) and why does everyone think Mark is creepy? I thought he was just asking why lie tell me more.
