if i was him i would go try and get the camera footage and see if the camera caught a plate. if so just make a police report Florida is alot better than california 😂😂
She left a note because she seen the camera, it sounds like she’s trying to see if you had proof with the camera, that camera is probably the only the reason she left a note in the first place. People suck, thankfully you had it.
Lucky you don’t have the same laws that we have in Australia because if you have someone run into your car and it’s in a private multi car park like you were in. We can’t can call the police but they don’t help with anything and it’s basically it’s up to the person that runs into your car if they don’t want to pay then they say it happened in a private parking lot and if you don’t have full insurance then their insurance simply says good luck trying to get them to pay and if you have to get your insurance to chase their insurance it can take up to 6 months just to get quotes and all other information they need then they deny all your quotes and send you to the dodgiest place and when you look at the reviews the company would take anywhere from 6 to 9 months to fix something something with a little more damage than what is on your vehicle. So when you drop your car to have the work done they say it would be done in 5-7 business days. Then you will play the game where they have taken the parts off your car to be painted and then they lose pieces and then say if you want your vehicle done and back then they need the parts paid for or they will simply say week after week they are still trying to find the missing pieces and unless you’re lucky enough to have a great group of mates like I have and we go in to get my vehicle and all the parts and the pieces that they couldn’t find. When the police turn up and understand what is happening and why we turned up in such a big group and show them the threats from the employees when it was just me and my wife and kids saying I don’t care what they are saying and I was going to be back to get my car in two days so they could move everything in the way. We didn’t argue or anything like that asked politely and simply looked for everything that was to my vehicle and then them trying to act tough on private property but were definitely to scared to actually do anything the police ended up laughing out loud enough that they didn’t think and said the wrong things to the police and then they got investigated and then shut down and lost everything as they owed companies everywhere and didn’t have things setup properly and they had all their possessions tied together and ended up on the news and other people like me their with tow trucks taking their cars and parts out
I don’t know why people would say because it’s on private property she’s not liable for the accident. She caused a simple Internet search can prove that wrong public or private you cause damage to something you’re responsible she probably never intended to pay for the damage. People probably started recording it. That’s why she left a note.
Buy the widebody cover and diffuser you want have the pain shop prep and spray it send her the bill, better yet, call insurance tell them what happened (from the sounds of it she can't fkn drive to start with) have the insurance pay (repeat precious recommendation)

Dude if you have progressive they will go after her full force they will look at her vehicle and be able to tell clearly she was at fault and left the scene of an accident, see if that building has cameras, I know you don't wanna claim this but there could be hidden damages as well and your rate shouldn't go up
I know it’s minor damage but if there’s camera evidence can’t the cops get involved in this since it’s a nice amount of money being needed? 1200 could get you a carbon fiber diffuser I believe

i had an ex girlfriend do exactly this and the cops tried to charge her with a hit and run. Call the cops and tell them she hit you left a note admitted to the hit and is refusing to pay so now you want to press charges and i bet shell call you to pay
Step one, go get the footage of her hitting you, step 2 go get 3 estimates. That will stop and prevent any low balling and not wanting to fix it right. So many people are not taught accountability now days and makes me sick as hell. Be a man, own up and take care of what you done. TAKE HER TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT! Tell her you can get her for hit and run, fleeing the scene, I bet she changes her tone.
Maybe get it paint corrected especially in the area that she hit you OR use some touch up paint and then wax and buff it REAL good. After doing one or some of BOTH of what I just mentioned. SELL it to the highest bidder. I would start with Carmax. THEN take that money and get another one. Problem solved.

it sucks bro, its starting to sound like more trouble than its worth. if theirs no internal damage and your only looking at $1200'is i think i would just blind eye it for a while. keep the incident off INS and carfax, ...or file a claim, you have a statement of admission and video and quotes. i hope your INS doesn't require a deductible first. i had to pay $500 out of pocket after hitting a deer. I hope everything works out.

cops wont do anything shes not a hit and run suspect, this is more of a civil matter. But he needs to call his insurance and file a claim and make his insurance go after her insurance its that easy
