9:33 the reason they do not connect the dots is because people do not normally try to associate Marinette and Adrien to Ladybug and Cat Noir. In "Kwamibuster" Adrien took the time to think about who in the school Ladybug could be and realized that Marinette and Ladybug had very similar personalities and expressed similar behaviors, however, due to Ladybug tricking Cat Noir into believing Marinette could not be Ladybug, Adrien stopped trying to connect the two, HOWEVER, keep in mind that the possibility of Marinette being Ladybug never disappeared from Adrien's mind, its still there hiding in the back of his head.

Can we talk about the fact that Gabriel had no hesitation on throwing a child into a waterfall

If you loved Fei, then you're in luck. Next year, they are planning to air a Halloween special that will have Ladybug teaming up with the heroes from both NY and Shangai. Besides, they are also writing the bible for a Ladydragon spin-off.

Ladydragon's hair was supposed to be goldish yellow to match the Renlings' look, but some people complained about whitewashing **sigh** and so they changed her hair to pinkish red

Fun fact: the show takes place between season 2 and season 3, so some things that happened in season 3 won't show up, like Natalie in bed, but the show was produced at the time of season 4, and that's why some things are different, like the soundtracks of the transformations

The creatures attached to the Prodigious are called Renlings, they're said to be like the kwami's cousins, since kwamis all represent abstract concepts, and the Renlings represent virtues.

@ 13:20 THEORY: Okay a lot of people are confused on the meaning behind Gabriel’s Line “I’ve Been waiting for this moment for 15 Years” seeing how he’s only been doing The Whole “Hawkmoth” for only a year. How does this make any sense? For an Answer we must go into another well known Theory. The theory being that both Emile and Gabriel used to be Globe Charting Adventures in their Youth. The Theory is once they found the Miraculous Grimoire In the Tibetan Mountains they started Globe Charting looking for more Miraculous over the world. Taking that in account it’s fair to reason that during their travels both Gabriel and Emile made it to Shanghai to look for the Prodigous Around 15 Years ago. We know this as a fact since When Adrien and Gabriel Arrive they have this conversation. Adrien: “ Father! Have you ever spent time in Shanghai outside of work?” Gabriel: “Of course I have”. Showing he has come here before, However Wu Shi Fu being the Guardian probably told them about the legend however did not let them go into the cave. How do we know that Gabriel was at the temple before? The evidence is at the beginning of the movie Wu Shi Fu’s students are wearing Agrest Branded Training Clothes. You can see the butterfly symbol on the front. Gabriel’s Clothing is not cheap and since he Wu was already tight on money so It’s possible Gabriel had given it to him, plus The fact he knew the Cave was behind the Waterfall. Here’s how I think it all played out 15 Years ago Gabriel and Emile Arrive In Shanghai looking for the Prodigious. They eventually meet Wu Shi Fu, they befriend him and give him Agreste Style training uniforms for his students to gain some trust between them. He tells just enough about the prodigious to give them a rough idea about what it does and where it is. He however does not allow them to actually enter the cave where the Prodigious is stored. But since at this point in time Gabriel is still a good guy he understands and leaves with Emile That’s the meaning behind Gabriel’s Line “I’ve Been waiting for this moment for 15 Years”

3:09 This is actually realistic and unfortunately common in China since they adopted their one child rule. Most families want a male child so if they get a female baby, they will leave it on the road somewhere and try again to have a male child.

I wish the story was like Marinette and her family was going to go to Shanghai to visit her great uncle for his bday but something came up so Marinette had to go by herself or something along those lines, it would've made me like this special more tbh. (But I also agree with what you said about everyone going to Shanghai and how the uncle was gonna pay for it) I kinda got frustrated with Marinette about Fei stealing the miraculous back, I agree stealing is bad but it's even worse to leave a power jewel like that for someone's to get their hands on. I do like Fei's character but how they set up the main characters going to Shanghai was just not good and made me not enjoy it, I am interested to see more of Fei in the future, and I have to say I love Mei Shi he's so cute.

Lady Dragon’s hair was originally yellow, but it was changed to red at last minute

If anyone's confused about why Luka and Kagami aren't appearing (and why Nathalie seems to be in good shape), this special chronologically takes place between season 2 and 3, before Lila comes back, before Nathalie gets really sick from using the Peacock and before Luka and Kagami get closer to Adrien and Marinette. This is also why Marinette is still all crazy about Adrien, as she neither is Guardian yet nor did she make any steps to realize he has feelings for someone else (...who also happens to be her).

Chronologically, this special takes place after Season 2 (maybe a few days after Heroes Day). At the end Fei says that Cash is going to jail, but we can see him in the NY special (which takes place after season 3) that he is already free and to this day I wonder: HOW? I'm sure he found out about the miraculous and other unknown gems and there should definitely be a lot more backstory behind this character (which I hope will be developed in the upcoming specials).

@ 19:35 Now that We’ve seen both specials (As of now) I still find myself preferring Seeing New York over Shanghai . Let me explain your reasoning by comparing both Specials What I like and dislike between the two. (ONE) Starting with The Animation I prefer the Shanghai Special on this aspect. Don’t get me wrong the New York Special is Animated really nicely especially the rain scenes. However, The Animation in Shanghai was top tier. The backgrounds are so beautiful, the action amazing, the character models perfect. (TWO) The Next point in favor of Shanghai was the environment. I feel like we were able to explore the environment more than New York, walk down the streets, meet the people and get a vibe for the environment. With New York I felt like they didn’t really explore much of the city with only using it for set pieces and Backgrounds basically saying “Hey we're in New York there’s Time Square oh here’s the Statue of Liberty” that sort of stuff. (THREE) there are a Few things That New York did better. One is the world Building not hating on the Prodigous but I feel like we know alot about it now. True there is still room to build with “Wu Shi” and what Fei’s future is. I personally however Find the stuff with the Eagle Miraculous, This New Guardian, and Miracle Box filled with all these new Miraculous Far more exciting. I want to know about these new powers. I feel like there’s more possibilities with it than the Prodigous. Finally (FOUR) The Biggest factor that I feel makes New York a better viewing Experience Than Shanghai for me is how the characters interact and are treated. In New York we have the whole cast represented and present for the majority of the Story Alya,Nino, Chloe, the class even Luka and Kagami. In Shanghai we only see them for like one scene. When we spend a whole 3 seasons with these characters we want to see them involved. That’s another thing Adrien/Cat Noir is wasted in Shanghai; he's barely in it and when he is he barely does anything useful. Compared to New York when he has Equal amount of screen time to Marinette/Ladybug and was an integral part of the story and actually does stuff and interacts with others. Compared to Shanghai where they almost never interact. I understand they want to build up the almost sister-like relationship between Fei and Marrinette and it’s really good. But I feel like both the characters and interactions are done better in New York Than in Shanghai. And I know it’s not the show's fault.They want to build up Fei’s character so that they can set up her own show. (IN CONCLUSION) Both Specials have a lot of pros and Cons. With the way I see them. New York Special is a good extension of The Show with its mythology and characters.Which are parts I really enjoy. Shanghai is good at being a standalone adventure with Ladybug and Cat Noir in a beautiful Environment, with amazing Animation and Action. To set up aCharacter that we want to see more of in the feature. They are both great in their own way it's just that I gravitate more to one more than the other

FYI: Marinette made reference to a certain part of the male anatomy at the end there. I don't think anyone will explain that to her.

I thought I should say this just because you have started reacting to season 4, be careful not to miss the post end card scenes on the episodes gabriel agreste, optigami, sentibubbler, and dearest family. they are all really plot heavy and you would miss a lot of things if you didn’t watch them!

Mei Shi is basically a combination of a kwami and guardian cause this time it's not a box full of miraculous it only had one the Prodigious. my personal guess is you can also transform with mei shi and combine it with the prodigious for the level up abilities

Outside of her reason for going to Shanghai,I really like this special. Fei is cool and I hope we can see more Lady dragon

the animation in this special is amazing! I really wish we could get this kind of quality of animation in the regular series

Remember that This special is between 2 and 3 hence Marrinette lack of character development and if you noticed Cash actually shows up at the end of the New York Special so he probably escaped jail and is now looking into other jewels in to New York after his experience here

The renlings (the little creatures that live in the Prodigious) are actually "cousins" to the kwamis. They have the same type of nature, but with some differences: while kwamis embody concepts and ideas, the renlings embody human values; each kwami live in their respective Miraculous, while the renlings live together in the same jewel... Despite kwamis are older than the renlings, the Prodigious was created before the Miraculous and, because only certain individuals would be able to use it (as the holder can only access an animal form if they have the virtue it representes) and the unlimited power it has (especially because of the dragon), the Miraculous was favored over the Prodigious.

Just in case you didn't know. Some voices change in Season 4. Nino and Max were given new voice actors (unsure why actually) and the voice actress of Sabine, who also voiced Miss. Mendeleiv, passed away during the recording of season 4.

I love Shanghai so much LADY DRAGON IS FREAKING DOPE and she's my is she my fav or second favorite idk but we're getting close to one of my favorite transformations I'm excited

You know that this movie special take place after event of season 2 and the nyc special take place after season 3

While it is disappointing to see Marinette want to go to Shanghai just so she could see Adrien, its important to keep in mind that Marinette is a girl with her flaws, she is not perfect, that said, it does feel like often times, viewers look at her and expect her to never be selfish, to not make any type of mistakes and to think about every little thing she could do wrong because she is the hero. Many of us have noticed that whenever she does something wrong, some people try to focus more on that and hold it against her rather than take note of all the good she does to make up for her mistakes near the end.

I always though Marinette going to Shanghai ahead of her parents was implied. her parents said they couldn't go right now, that doesn't mean they wouldn't meet up with her to celebrate the uncle's birthday

Episode Feast (season 3 episode 15) is essential to understand all these new miraculous boxes and new miraculous. When Master Fu tells his story, you can see all the miraculous boxes that there were at the Temple, but due to Fu's mistake, all the miraculous boxes were eaten by Feast, and the Temple was destroyed. However, when Marinette destroyed the akumatized sentimonster and used her miraculous ladybug, everything came back to how it was before Fu's mistake - the Temple returned, the masters, and all the other miraculous boxes... That is why the New York Special should be watched after season 3, to understand that now we have different masters around the world with different miraculous boxes, and I would guess that this is extremely important for the next specials.

I really liked this a whole lot better than that United Heroez special. I hated it a lot but this was good despite it being messed up of Marinette going to Shanghai without her parents who were saving for a family trip. I love your head canon with Marinette going earlier than her parents and they'll come later.

Fun fact: ladydragon was suppoused to have green hair in early concept then in a trailer it shows her to hair gold hair then in final version she have redish pink hair as we can see here lol.

Marinette didn't go to Shanghai purely to see Adrien. She pulled a big brain move by going there and killed two birds with one stone. Not only was she going to spend time with her distant relative and give him his gift in person, but she was also going to be able to spend time with his crush. When she was taking his uncle's birthday present to send it to Shanghai and heard that Adrien was in Shanghai she saw the perfect opportunity to get to know both his uncle and Adrien better.

We need more Fei content 😭😭😭

I like this special a lot!! No forced Adrientte shipping from characters besides Marinette selfish reason to go to Shanghai. But I loved getting to know Fei throughout the special. Can’t wait for her spin off series & this made me really ship her & Marinette as my OTP. Honestly if Fei did go to Paris with Marinette I know she would be a really good friend to Marinette & always believe her. Don’t worry I still ship Lukanette too. I don’t see any romance happening between Fei & the 3 guys cause she didn’t seem interested in them at all.

So, a bunch of different facts and info The prodigious is… interesting. As said, it’s basically a proto miraculous, before all the others. The renlings within it are not kwamis but more referred to the cousins of kwamis (the renlings have distinct differences to kwami’s). It’s considered a much more powerful version of a average miraculous. Also, fun facts: 1. All kwamis can understand any language. When fei was talking to Cash in mandarin and Marinette couldn’t understand the importance of the conversation, when tikki vision was shown, she could understand the entire conversation. 2. Reminder, this is a Marinette back in end of season 2. 3. In other news, apparently there is a lady dragon series in the works as a concept already. 4. The lion at the end (after finally ending it’s days as a machine) that came out of the bracelet is neither kwami nor renling but just a spirit. 5. Fei is technically the guardian of the prodigious (as passed down) so no one else needs to deal with it. The guardians also solely deal with the miraculous, and the prodigious is a whole separate can of responsibility.

I know we didn't see it in this reaction, but can I just say I was SO frustrated that Marinette's way of telling someone she lost her earings... was just a drawing of two back circles. How anyone managed to even interpret that as her wanting/needing earrings is beyond me. ESPECIALLY when she's long-established to be a talented and artistic person!

Im the same way about Mari, but shes still a child, whose found her first love every is crazy when they have there first love, not her crazy but you know. She has to go through the feelings and grow and realize Adrian isn’t all that perfect.
