Omg I love it!! I love vintage dark rides, especially that ticking cracking sound! Reminds me of Coney Island ‘s Dragon’s Cave , I rode it when I was 3 in 1976. Too bad it’s no longer there.
Love this! I grew up about 15 miles away from Sylvan Beach Amusement Park and visited this park every summer. The one thing I loved was LAFFLAND and of course the arcades (pinball games). They also had a real old walk thru fun house called The Castle of Fun, that burned down in the mid 80's. It was a 2 story fun house that brings back many awesome memories! Thanks for visiting all of these old Dark Rides! These used to scare the sh-- out of me!
That looks awesome! Reminds me very much of Kennywood’s old Le Cachot, which was also a Pretzel. The lights on trip was also unique as you can see just how simple many of the stunts are. Thanks for sharing!
Seaside Heights used to have a couple of cool dark rides/walk throughs. I was told the walk through was moved to a park in Keanesburg. It was very cool. Lots of details and interactive animatronics.
Keansburg had one of my dream rides...The Spook House...which I never got to go on since it was destroyed in the hurricane. They were supposedly rebuilding it but it never happened and it's been many years now since they said they were going to do it....the walk thru your talking about is still there tho...it's called Hallowgraves Haunted Manor.

@@darkridedracula It just popped into my head. The ride-through in Seaside was Stillwalk Manor. Same exact rail set up as Dante's Dungeon in WW, only the props were house oriented. There was a giant devil head at the end. I have the ride on video somewhere....same with the one in OC.
We had an amusement park near me in Chesterton Indiana. It closed to down back in the 80's - I never got over it. They had an old Pretzel dark ride called Safari. It had the same sound on the track and old school props including the animated cannibal ones. It even had the plate trick on the floor like this it ran over. The white ghoul in this one looked similar to one they added in later. There is nothing about it on the Internet but I do have photos of the some of the props from it.
They must have had one too! The witch was in this ride at the same time LP's monster ride was still in operation! That one had some incredible artwork on it !!! 🙂
I never knew this ride was this close (4 hours away but still). I will try to visit it next year. Say, is there a way to contact you privately on the topic of darkrides. The darkride community is largely toxic and I won’t engage on forums anymore. It seems you’ve run into some of the same characters as I did. I’m assuming your also in NJ.
