What I love the most about her, is that for me she acts so natural and authentic, not like in some hollywood productions where its fancy now to put women into bad ass roles. She acts not artificially at all, I can really imagine how shield maiden lived back in that time. She is and always will be my favorite character of that series.

Explorer Pigeon ragnar didnt leave her though.. true, he cheated. right fuck up that was, but ragnar never intended to get aslaug pregnant and even after he found out he tried to convince lagertha to stay with him and aslaug, and again, another fuck up on his part but still, he didnt want to abandon his child with aslaug and thats understandable. but lagertha chose to leave because he humiliated her and broke her trust and her heart beyond repair but ragnar never wanted lagertha to leave, even though she was justified in doing so. he has always loved her more than aslaug and always wanted her back but life had other plans. its a perfect example of one bad judgement call can take away all you hold dear.

I agree. Everyone always hated Aslaug yet the moment the tide turned, everyone suddenly hated her. I'm hoping we have several more seasons of her. I know everyone will eventually die as it's the history of them all (in theory) but still, she's earned her spot.

i love this season...i watched many seasons like games of thrones, spartacus, breaking bad, shannara chronicles, sherlock, prison break but vikings is on top in my list...every character in this season gave a perfection but Ragnar's acting with awesome attitude have no words to explain. i wish to shake hands with Ragnar one day i just love his powerful acting that i never seen before.

Any else drew a comparison to the roles of women had in history to the rights women have today (in their society). Viking women had active roles, alongside men. Like shield maidens, fighting with the men. Notice North Europe, to this day, is leading the world in equality, education, finances, and health for both sexes? Compared to societies where there is currently a big difference in health, rights, and education between sexes that favors men and those are the societies where women historically had no role other than be a wife, mistress, or slave. What other societies had equal/near equal gender roles?

Knowing Scandinavian guy was the reason I found this movie. He was unique. He never exerted power over me as a women unlike most men. I fell in love with this movie. There are a lot of similarities between Persian and Scandinavian. That is the reason a lot of Scandinavian man prefer Persian woman to other ethnicity. As magnificent as Lagertha is, there are many Viking historians that argue that she did not give birth to Bjorn. It was the baby breeder yet again, as you say! Viking history and legend get a bit blurred, unfortunately...and as tremendous as this series is, the timelines are all over the place. Best to just soak up the atmosphere of it all and not think about it too much...but there have been many other warrior queens in other male-dominated societies - the Rani of Jhansi being probably the least known - a Sikh warrior princess that could really stick it to the British in the Punjab of the 1840's...and reportedly drop dead gorgeous to boot...she rode into history charging the British at the head of her lancers...well worth reading up on...

I can never be a king but I had to listen to the verses in this artist. As it could be taken as if that's what I'm trying to be hear in this day and age knowing well the Declaration of Independence. Just admiring art at every level though of course can't forget all talents as the messages are pretty good in a modernized relation between the time difference equivalent just labeled different.

The song is beautiful, though it's more about Aslaug than about Lagertha. Lagertha is the Queen herself, she does not need to be "one's" Queen. Nevertheless, both Lagertha and Aslaug are badass!

This voice is amazing and the interesting point is that she sounds almost EXACTLY like Dolly Parton when she was young! This artist would do GREAT COVERS of "Jolene" or "Love is Like a Butterfly"
