Also, kindly clarify if the 90-days amnesty extend to anyone who have just bought a land or plot in an estate in Lagos. Especially if one has recently recently received the Deed of Assignment and Survey plan in readiness to build and pursuant of Governors consent. Please advise. Thanks.
The Amensty is for people who had already built the house or houses with obtaining building approval. The process is to obtain the building approval before anyone commences building. Hence why there's a penalty for those who build without approval. For you, you don't have anything to do with the amnesty. When you are ready to build, ensure you get approval before you start building. Because going forward, anyone who builds without approval might suffer demolition or pay huge penalty. Hope this helps.
