A walk of 6.5 miles starting in the Duddon Valley, at the quiet end of the Walna Scar Road.
On a clear day the views are spectacular.
The path over to Seathwaite Tarn from Goat's Water is vague at tricky to find.

Thanks for sharing your navigational skills Tony, very interesting, unfortunately with all the modern gadgets using proper navigational aids are getting used less & less. Well done making the video. 👍

Thanks John. I think they are becoming something of a “dying art”, although a map doesn’t get flat batteries and a compass doesn’t lose its signal👍

@@TonysTrails certainly is Tony, I have the O/S app on my phone, it definitely comes in handy at times. 👍

I guess it must have been either me or the guy who posted the original comment. I know he posted a third video, but not seen it as I’ve unsubbed from the channel with an attitude like that! We didn’t get to see much of Dow Crag! Best wishes, Charlie & Tony.

Interesting navigational info Tony ...I mist admit i gave up fighting with a map in rain and 50 mph winds for modern technology ...I know ...its controversial but as long as a back up phone and back up charger and a recorded gpx route its just easier ....interesting descent route to the tarn. Its quite good exploring that quarry you passed.

Thanks Tracey. I “Googled” that quarry when I got back and it seems to have been quite a big operation. I’m hoping to include more of the “dying arts” of navigation in future videos. I’ve got LOADS of catching up to do with you and Andy. Seem to spend all my time editing or posting on social media. Seems to be starting to pay off with subs numbers and view time though 🫰
