This 11 mile route (shorter if you park at the Old Dungeon Ghyll) starts in Great Langdale, but leaves the crowds behind when you veer off below the first Crinkle.
Spectacular views, on clear days, of three major ranges.
Bike o' Blisco could be omitted and a return made from Red Tarn, via the outward route.

Another stunning video! Thanks for taking us with you, I live in Canada now so probably will never see The Lakes again, so your videos are a real treat. Can I make a small request, when you are filming streams and waterfalls, can you include the sound of the water? I would love that!

Great vlog, thanks. Some stunning views to enjoy. We’ll be over there in a couple of weeks for our birthdays. My wife will be 60 and I’ll be 64 but we stay active and we’ve got some good hikes planned with the kids and this has given me some ideas, thanks👍

Thanks Steve. I can recommend going over to Stonestye Pike and Little Stand from the bottom of the Crinkles. Not at all boggy and a path to follow all the way (which surprised me). If you go straight over to Cold Pike main top, there looks to be a path pretty much all the way too. If you don’t fancy Pike o’ Blisco you can just head down from Red Tarn on the path you went up. Hope you have good birthdays. I’m 60 in June and Charlie is 70 in July, so he does really well. Best wishes from us both.

@@TonysTrails i think i underestimated the distance of what i wanted to hike do altered it a touch......camped in front of Crinkle Crags, then morning after did Bow Fell, Esk Pike and ended up camped on Rossett Pike overlooking the Langdale Valley......it got windy and was a bit hairy at times but turned out fine.....with a little whiskey😁👍👍👍

It was an amazing day for views. Yes, PC. I think it’s available for Mac too. I don’t know how folk manage on their phones and produce the results they do. Would do my head in!

It’s a bit “resource-heavy” and my laptop struggles with it sometimes, but for a piece of FREE software it’s fantastic 👍
