Welcome back to another Lake District Hike! This week I'm Great Langdale, one of my favourite places in the Lakes. Today I'm doing a short route around the stunning Langdale Pikes!
Here is a link to OS Maps of a very similar route I plotted before doing the walk. Please only use this as a guideline and properly plan your own route :)

Superb Video Alex! I can absolutely see why you love the Langdales, absolutely beautiful! A nice lot of ascent, well rewarded by those stunning views. Loved watching this tonight, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this. Top job! 👍 Sounds like the snowfall was epic 😀

Fabulous video Alex! I first climbed to Pavey Ark 52 years ago, and did it again in 2022 in memory of a friend who first introduced me to the Lakes all those years ago. The Lake District is magical, and I am hoping to go camping there again this year. Thanks for all the great videos, particularly of the Peak District, my local area.

Wow that’s brilliant Peter! I bet the Langdale Valley was a little quieter 52 years ago. Brilliant you got back up there in memory of your friend, I always find the mountains a special place for remembering loved ones. Oh my I was in the area at the weekend. I did Lingmoor Fell only a little one but i enjoyed it and looked back to the Langdales.

Amazing video. I’ve recently just done the langdale pikes and you’re so right that view from the top of pike of Stickle was just breathtaking! Good job +1 sub 👍🏻

Great video. Did this route a couple of weeks ago in the snow and ice! The descent of Pavey Ark is hideous! Remember climbing Mark Gate to Loft Crag thinking I wouldn't like to come down this way!! If only I'd known!! 😂

Great video. Thank you. I notice you tend to keep your yellow tupilac on throughout your hikes - using your hard outer layer as a windshirt. I guess you just have a base layer (Helly Hansen??) underneath. I note the Tupilac doesnt seem have pit zips. If that's the case, how do you regulate your body temp wearing the tupilac all the time?
