This 6 mile route starts with a steep ascent practically straight from the car.
Once on the tops there is little else to trouble you, apart from the first, steep, descent from Threshthwaite Mouth. When we were there the pitched steps/rocks were wet and slippery.
However, once down this first section, the rest of the valley is a shear delight!

Brocken spectre😮 I had to look that up😅 that would be cool to see. That was a spectacular valley at the end, thanks for commenting on the geology, very interesting.

I can’t believe that in all my time spent in the hills I’ve never had a brocken spectre, Cathy. Hopefully one day 🫰 Yes, that valley was beautiful.

Nice video Tony.. I went to grey crag from Cauldale moor down that nasty path to threshwaite, not pleasant.. Tek care lad :)

That was a steep one Tony, great views on your descent though. Hope this isn’t a silly question but do you get trig pillars in the Lake District or are they just something you try & avoid?

Hi John. Yes, there are trig pillars, but not on every hill.
