Not all Lake District walks are country walks. This is a pleasant stroll from the Old Bridge House in Ambleside town centre up to the waterfalls in Stock Ghyll Park.

May can often be one of the better months, with lower than average rainfall and warm days with long lazy evenings, although nothing is guaranteed, of course.
Thank you. When our children were little we enjoyed an evening stroll up to the falls. In those days it was possible to park quite close, which gave us more time at the falls. The kids always loved it.
