I remember in 2012, my best friend traded me a garchomp. I was to trade it back to him after a week, but I was so happy. I had no idea how to catch one, I was a dumb kid. So I decided to play and battle with that garchomp so much, and in a week it went from level ~60 to level 100. I brought my ds and Pokémon diamond into show and tell, and I showed my class the garchomp that my best friend traded me. I was so proud of my training of his garchomp, and that day, I took a photo of my class on my ds. It is still there to this day. Even though we’ve drifted apart, I still talk to him sometimes. I miss the days we would just play Pokémon together, have sleep overs and just talk. It was the best.

This genuinely just makes me upset with life. Upset at all my missed opportunities whether it's with friends, family, or gaming. The fact that you don't realize the good times until they've already passed. The sad realization that most likely, future moments won't even hold a candle to those I always dream and think about maybe experiencing again.

Good old times. Diamond was my very first pokemon game. I really miss when things were simpler.

This just reminds me of being a kid and sitting in the backseat of my parent's car and playing this Pokemon Platinum. Specially, when we were driving at night and I was blissfully unaware playing this game. Not knowing I was making these warm memories I'd like to relieve as a kid.

Coming to this while currently under quarantine and this feels doubly disheartening and far away from me.

I just realized that there is one more thing thats as beautiful as these D/P/P soundtracks and thats reading all of your memories. Its crazy how many people share the same memories even tho they live in completely different spots on earth. Loving it!

brings a tear to my eye 🥲 the soundtrack in gen 4 is absolutely beautiful Pearl and Platinum were my first 2 Pokemon games and still my favourites :) One fond memory I have from when I was a kid back in 2009. I was trading Pokemon with my older cousin and he gave me a yellow Shinx, this totally blew my mind as I didn't even know shiny Pokemon existed. I tried to ask him what it was but all he said was that it was rare. I used it in my first party and trained it up to a level 100 Luxray, and still have it to this day! I still have no clue if it was hacked or legitimate, but I still count it as my first ever shiny. I wouldn't find my first actual shiny until 5 years later in Pokemon X, a random shiny Pumpkaboo! :) This event turned me into an avid shiny hunter, and it's still my favourite thing to do in every single Pokemon game all these years later :)

this reminds me of the moments I used to lay in bed, late at night, trying to hide my ds under my blankets so my mom doesn't know I'm staying up late to play. and then I would eventually drift off into sleep, with the ds pressed against my chest and lowkey suffocating under the blanket. and this whimsical soundtrack lulls me to sleep. ahhh good times. truly one of my favorite in the pokemon series

I miss the feeling of staying awake on a school night under my blanket, playing my blue DS, and feeling like my bed was gonna catch fire due to how hot it got after playing for 6 hours at a time. ❤

BRRRRUUUUH turtwig was my starter. i miss this so much. remember getting my DS on a stormy night and this was my first game for it. this echoed through my car as we drove through town and i kept telling my mom all about how much i loved the game. that was an amazing night

This, alongside a lot of other Pokémon soundtracks, have the power to make you listen to them for hours on end. The loop is perfect in a way that you never get tired from it. Its upbeat, but melodious at the same time, which is great for falling asleep. Everything about this song is perfect, in every which way. It pairs well with the serenity of lake verity, and I feel the different instruments could possibly represent azelf, uxie, and mesprit (Don’t quote me on that). This is also a song that reminds people of a game, and game series, that has gotten them through hard times, given them good ones. This song will me reminder of past, present, and future memories. As the new remakes come out, and generations of Pokémon pass by, and we grow older, this will stick with us. Hell, I’ve been listening to this for years. So anyone here, scrolling through these comments as the melody of lake verity floats by your ears, please promise me that you will never leave this song. Until the day you die. This is one of the best composed pieces in all of Pokémon, I like how it works very well with the sights of the game as well as switches between 6/6 time and 4/4 time, and the decrescendos to fade out into a fade immediately in is completely magical.

You might miss childhood, the sweet nostalgia and the easier times making you envious of what you once had. But remember that when you where a kid it didn't feel that fun. kids always yearn for adulthood until they see it for what it is and get disappointed. But there's still more fun to be had, and mourning what once was gets you nowhere. There's still another lake to go, and another mythical Pokémon for you to find. Enjoy hunting for it while it lasts.

Pearl and the music behind it really carried me through some tough times growing up. I'll always remember going to the lake to find the mythical Red Gyarados with Barry, choosing my Piplup, and setting off on my adventure through Sinnoh. When my actual home felt like chaos, Sinnoh was there to comfort me. This song always reminds me of home.

Let's talk about how extraordinarily pristine this melody is. This is musical coke. I've never heard another melody quite like this one, and I never will. I'm not alone in hearing this song and being astounded by how one of a kind it is? Like, it has a vibe and aesthetic that you've only ever heard from this one song? It's so smooth, and also mysterious, and punchy in all the right ways. It alone carries the mystery and significance of the lakes in the game.

Listen to this guys, I played Pokémon Platinum as a kid, it so confusing and i was so bad compared to friends and family so i gave up, but the reason i remember it is for it's amazing music. I now really regret giving up and all Pokémon ost is a reminder of that, especially gen 4 music. I'm just happy they remade/ remastered it so i can finally get back into Pokémon

Years ago my mom got me Pokemon Diamond for Valentine's day. I remember being bad (I was quite young) and had my games taken away before I could get into it. Once I got them back I started Diamond, I breezed through the start but I was stuck at what I think was Eterna forest and where you have the girl and you do double battles. When I was younger I found Sinnoh quite boring and I never played it again. In November of 2020 I picked up diamond and started it over, a few days later my mom passed. I haven't really had the motivation to play diamond again but the music has helped me, it makes me feel nostalgic even though I hadn't experienced the music myself. I heard it in RU-vid videos and when I would just google pokemon osts and listen to them. Sinnoh just has this sad and nostalgic vibe for me. Pokemon is magical and can make me feel sad yet happy. Pokemon has been a big part of my life and it's great to see it just continue to grow whether that's in cards, remakes, or new regions. After my mom passed I was just a downer, I just sat there for a few days and didn't do anything not even eat. A friend had sent me some of his favorite pokemon osts out of the blue to cheer me up I guess. I heard this theme and just had a nostalgic wave of all the times pokemon has helped me through the years. This theme was one of the osts he sent me, even if I've never played through Sinnoh fully it still has a place in my heart, it's not really the gameplay that does, it's the music that does. Thank you Pokemon.

I have a small lake near my house, a year ago i played and shiny Hunted there alot but one time in October i failed a shiny rotom and never came back, now after my driving lesson and after the rain i saw the lake and asked my driver to drop me at the lake, I've put this on and just set at the lake for some time, really relaxing.

This brings back some good memories of siting on my bedroom floor at sleep overs and me and my friends trying to figure out how to trade Pokémon

Everyone is sharing their nostalgia stories so here's mine :-) Im 17 now and was introduced to pokemon at age 5 or 6 by my cousins and older sister. I remember getting Heartgold for christmas in 2010 and that was the first pokemon game that I owned. My sister had diamond, one of my cousins had soul silver, and the oldest cousin had Pearl. I specifically remember him having a Gengar and a Glalie. We used to do 2 on 2 battles all the time and just have an overall good time. We all played together and eventually all got black and white. The 3 of them stopped playing pokemon then but I never lost my love for it. While I did take 2 or 3 years off after Black and White 2, I eventually got a 3ds in 2016 and got XY and ORAS. Ive bought every main line game since then. Usually I buy both copies (except lets go eevee that's the only one im missing). I still do a play thru every now and then. I just replayed gen 6 :) I cant wait for BDSP and I can't thank my cousins and sister enough for showing me pokemon. I'm a pokemon fan for life yo.
