Lake St Clair is a world class bass fishery and the Lake St Clair Metropark is THE place to catch some really great BIGS in the early spring - largemouth AND smallmouth bass included! The big bass put on the feedbags and will be pushing in shallow to those areas that warm up the fastest and attract the baitfish. Find the BAITFISH, find the BIG fish!

LOVE your channel, because your approach, content, and your local! Enjoy hearing your commentary and also really appreciate your advice on what to fish at a certain time of year, up here in Michigan. As a fisherman that’s taken the next step to fish more (with better gear and lures), I’m wondering if you could share better bank spots for me and my son. Lol. We don’t have access to a boat, live in Metro Detroit, and don’t mind driving within an hour. Fishing from the banks really limits us, unfortunately, and it seems like I’m always casting in bad areas. Any help on a few local spots that might improve our fun-factor would be greatly appreciated! God bless!

Awesome, I have the same rod , bought it marked down for $40 at the Fishing Expo in Columbus, oh. Already had an Abu Garica Orra winch 5:4 for cranking. I'm liking it! But my favorite is the Veritas rod series

was on that area yesterday along the bank, 6 hours and got completely stroked, threw two diff spinners and a couple crank baits aswell as chatter, any tips would help me, everyone else was loading up besides myself

Cast near or around the lay downs. The baitfish have been balling up around these warmer areas. Also try changing up the color presentations and the retrieve speed on your cadence. Did you have willow or Colorado blades on the spinners? Sometimes they want the thump, sometimes the flash, and sometimes a combination. I hope those tips help and you get on some good fish. Don’t quit trying - it’s bound to happen down there! Tight lines!👊💥🎣

@@live2fishofficial Spinners had mainly colorado, im gonna add a bronze willow along with some more highlighted spinners, hopefully the wind will be in my favor today but also gonna try some 1/2 ounce and higher for some further casts. Appreciate it my man!!!!

@@tyler2k523 anytime! I tend to stick with 3/8oz when shallow like that because once you add a trailer it’s not too heavy and still hits that strike zone. 1/2oz feels a bit heavy for me and I like to run that in deeper channels, or if I want to burn it quick without having it rise too much. Also adjust the retrieve with your rod tip up and down, see what helps keep it where it gets them to commit.
