Musical perfection of transcendent heavenly joy expressed through four graced angels. You can dance to them, play along to them, sing along to them, sit in silence and be with them, play them at a wedding, a funeral, a birth, and all the Universe smiles along. This is pure goddam joyful MUSIC.
I can't stop playing this video. I must have played it 58,000 times myself. I'm thinking about quitting my job and just play this full time. But I don't think I have a problem. Oh it just stopped, I gotta go play it again!
Oh.... my.... God!.... You guys are simply amazing. All of you! I just discovered you all via NPR music and have listened viewed at least a dozen of the clips available. The vocals, the bass, drums and of course on this one... I love the Baby Taylor... wonderful sound out of such a petite guitar. I am definitely a fan.!
Just discovered these folks tonight. Love the sound and can think of several songs I'd like to hear them cover. For instance - Why Don't You Do Right? Midnight at the Oasis. Can't Help Falling in Love.
You guys KILLED IT in SF on the 14th! Third time I've seen you, and the hottest show yet. Duet w/The Congress on Rental Love surprised me. Meadows held his own. Great show!

Also just discovered this group about 2 weeks ago and I'm downloading everything I can. But since they play mostly covers, I suggest they drop the Lake Street Dive name and tour as Rachael Price.
This is my favorite version of this song. It is so raw, fresh and cutting for the times. LSD added some strange intro on the latest release. Have not really warmed up to it.
I agree completely. I guess this will be the Sirius Coffeehouse version that everyone loves, and the CD version will be the one that plays on conventional radio...
Anyone have any clues on how to get this song? It's not on any of their albums (from what I can tell) I love this song. I have Fun Machine, Live At The Lizard Lounge and their self titled album. Just wondering if anyone knows if this one is coming to an album of theirs soon?
No, no, no! They do great covers, but the bulk of their material is original, written by one or more of the members of the band. And Rachael is as fine a musical artist as they come, but the other three members of the band are every bit as talented. All four of them deserve equal recognition for what they are: Awesome!
