You trade DLO for Sexton because DLO's mentality is weak. He can't handle high pressure situations (like the playoffs) and lets the trash talk get to him when he's getting worked by Jamal Murray for example. Sexton has that dog in him. I'd take Sexton for the effort and mentality over DLO's inevitable collapse. Check the per 36 for the last 2 seasons between them. DLO is not superior in anyway. It's a statistical wash if not an outright upgrade. Now consider with Sexton you would get a defensive big in this scenario to lean on Jokic and spell AD. No brainer for me. But I wouldn't stop here at DLO + 1st for Sexton and Kessler. I would want this to be apart of a bigger 3 way trade at the very least.

I think Kessler would be a fantastic pickup. He becomes starting center, AD moves back to pf, and someone makes LJ lose 20 pounds so he can guard small forwards again. It’s the least he can do since the Lakers signed his son
