Baylor was completely washed at that time and Wilt tore his acl his second year in LA. He became more of a defender than a dominant offensive player after that.

It's hard to give Bill Russell props for his 11 rings because he played in an era with about 8 to like 15 NBA league teams.. playing them over and over. It's like street ball squads, if your on a hot squad and there is 4 squads out there on the court... your team can easily beat them.. no matter how many times you play them... unless you get injured, you can always beat weaker squads. Plus the more you play the same rotational teams over and over, you figure them out. That's why my personal era' counts 1980 on... or when Dr. Jay came to the NBA. More teams, longer schedules... NBA became harder after 1980

The messed up thing is, I honestly believe, if there was a 3 point line during those NBA finals that the Lakers that Jerry West was on lost, they would not have lost as many, if any, cus Jerry was shooting from deep often and sinking most shots. Jerry West would've had at least 5 rings with a 3 point line.
