The annual Lakeside Open House is Saturday, April 29, 2023. Every year, it is preceded by moving the machines from the buildings to the show area. Normally, I make videos of the moves, but didn't make it this year; So here is a photo gallery instead.
The big addition this year is the very early P+H 206 crane with the weird boom. It is special for Lakeside, since one of the first machines when Lakeside was starting up was one of these, with a clamshell. This machine came from Long Island, crossing to the mainland on a WW-II LST! It was in hopeless condition when it arrived, thus it took a bit longer to get it into beautiful working condition. It didn't have the boom, one was found and purchased later.
