Digging your channel, man. We live a couple hours south of Chicago, but we come up at least a couple times a year for vacations, or getaways, and music festivals. It's hard to know what spots are worth going out of your way for, so usually it's just kind of stumbling upon places and hitting places we know we like, but we like to branch out and try new spots that aren't Lou Malnati's or the Billy Goat or whatever, so these have been cool to watch. So glad I stumbled onto your channel through your Riot Fest blogs! Keep it up!
Thanks man! Chicago is such a great spot to live close! Glad to hear you make a few trips up our way man. Those Riot Fest ones are some of my all-time favorite video's I've ever made! I already can't wait to go back this year!
Incredible! Definitely gorgeous recommends! (Definite Sour Cream brings next level love to chili-goodness) Keep spreading the good vibes, brother! (fellow comedy writer/deadhead/foodie)
Cheese and sour cream all day long. Those chilis looked great, I'd even give that vegan one a pull. It's so cool that the CCoC recognized your talent for showing off the best your city has to offer in such an entertaining manner. Continued success, man. BTW what's your favorite chili partner (hot dogs, tamales, fries, spaghetti, etc.)?
gotta do the cheese and sour cream move! I was honestly surprised at how much I liked the veggie one. Thanks man, I'm so excited for working with them. They're pretty awesome people too. And great question.... I think I'd have to chili dogs with fries coming in at a close second. Mainly just because Toledo is kind of famous for their chili dogs and I grew up with them
@@CoreyWagnerChicago I’m not vegan, but I would love to try that vegan chili, you made everything look so good and I’m a chili lover, I like mine hot n spicy!
@@CoreyWagnerChicago the wife and myself are going to have to check out all these spots, because, she’s a chili lover too. Thanks for showing the best spots. We haven’t lived here a year yet, so we’re still getting used to everything and the driving here was so confusing, but we’ve gotten used to it, happy for the gps, lol. Have a nice rest of your day Corey!
You’re my bro, And I think that we should go to the next order, world order, It’s sortah smallah than it used to be, gotta get on it and just straight forward it, the info that will make ‘em conquer it LMAO 🤣
Excellent job Mayor Wagner. Got to ask, are you a beans in chili guy or no beans in chili guy? I am solid in the no beans chili camp. Sour cream and cheese for sure, maybe even some peanut butter. Enjoy your weekend bro!!
Hello good sir! I used to be a no beans guy but my wife likes them and I don't mind them so I kind of float between the two camps. I haven't tried peanut butter but I bet that's great. Definitely trying that next time I get/make chili!
My go to spot for chili was always Lindy's but i'm not sure it exists anymore. They closed the one in Mt. Greenwood ages ago, but I think there's another location in the burbs somewhere.
I love Chicago diner chili, being lactose intolerant I order mac and cheese from there often. Another decent place to get chili from, is ball park pub and maybe fatso's.
Chicago diner is such a cool spot! Everyone there was super nice too. And I bet you're so right about fatsos! They just seem like the type of place that has great chili!
Figured being from Ohio, you'd only eat chili on spaghetti! 😂 All of those looked fire. Chili can easily be a great veg option, it's about the seasonings.
dude I couldn't believe this was my first time trying it! I'm the same, I've passed it so many times and always wanted to try it. Everyone in there was so freaking nice and cool too!
hahah dude! Wendy's chili is my wifes favorite fast food order! She gets a chicken sandwich and the chili instead of fries with extra chili sauce packets!
No sour cream. I’d rather have more cheese 🧀 🫕 in my chili. When I make chili, I love to make corn cakes or corn fritters (as my momma calls them) instead of corn bread because I love the extra crunchy texture.
I started getting a little sentinmental about chicago when the video started. Then i saw nothing but pride flags in every shot practically leading up to the first joint which wants 11 dollars for a grilled cheese and 11.50 for a pizza puff. Nothing about that sounds appetizing to me. Ill stay here in the burbs.
