yo soy eduardo but you can call me lalo the only serotonin i've had these past few months i promise i have a proper edit coming #bettercallsaul #lalosalamanca
Smile too much and it loses its meaning. If you can’t trust someone’s smile you can’t trust their mood, and if you can’t trust their mood you can’t trust them. With Lalo though it works in his favor because it makes it difficult for people to get a read on him. Such a great character
Lalo has the patience of Gus, charm of Saul, tactical skills and the ability to investigate like Mike, ruthlessness of Tuco and intelligence of Walter White all in one package. What a great character
Hector Salamanca represents the king (especially after his stroke) they are the leader of the other pieces. They are can’t defend themselves and are dependant on the other pieces for protection so it’s a good thing the other pieces want to protect them. The twins are like Bishops they wear different colours and one twin covers what the other cannot. Tuco is a Rook (castle) they are intimidating, powerful and hard to kill. Lalo is a queen, they can be sneaky, is incredibly powerful and has a lot of moves and tricks up their sleeves. Edit: not all of these labels are created by me and Lalo is sometimes referred to as a knight.
He is a combination of all Salamancas A caotic mess like Tuco A dangerous killer like the twins And egoistic, revengious drug lord like Hector Sometimes caring like Abuelita And maybe something similar with Joaquin
This is almost perfectly epic, only missing, “Michael... is that you 🙃” most chilling line and officially confirmed a badass was coming to the universe
You come in thinking this universe is already one of the richest in television history in terms of incredibly captivating, well-acted characters... and then Tony Dalton comes through with Lalo Salamanca. Goddamn they are outdoing themselves with this show!
There is like an almost endless potential for spinoffs. Can you imagine a Mike Ehrmantraut origin story set in Philly in the early 80s? Tom Hardy would nail the role of a young Mike.
Tony actually said in an interview when asked how he decided on how to play Lalo that he watched all of BB and BCS and then thought about what kind of character/villain we hadn't seen yet. And it shows!
I really noticed here that Lalo's loud and extroverted around Nacho and Gus, but super quiet around Saul. It's like he has a superhuman ability to figure out what makes anyone he meets the most discombobulated and uncomfortable around him.
I'm really glad Lalo exists. The Salamancas all seemed like brainless, uncharismatic lunkheads until he showed up. Thank god for Lalo. Perfect villain. Can't HECKING WAIT for season 6.
I never thought I would think BCS is a superior show to BB, until Lalo showed up. What an awesome villain and adversary for Gus. He just owns every scene he is in.
Lalo isn't like the others in his family. Hector, Tuco and the twins are antisocial, hair triggers and outright cruel. Lalo is charismatic and clever, that makes him the most dangerous of all of them.
I think Lalo is the best villain this show's ever introduced. He's not diabolical and openly evil like the chicken man, nor is he henpecked and often pathetic like Walter White. He's charming, likeable, and you're discovering how awful he is one bite an a time. He's also really different from the rest of his family, but he's smart and when theres an attack on him he deletes all those assasins sent after him.
I love how when lalo tries to be antagonist he still manages to charm u cause he doesn't have a bone in his body that hates u he just loves killing people
I was incredibly skeptical when they announced that they were bringing Lalo onto the show and it made me worried that BCS would become more of an average prequel that just checks off unimportant details from the flagship story. But Lalo is such a great character and Tony's performance is just the fucking best.
@@amacuro but Gus tells Hector "all of the Salamancas are dead" so Lalo will probably die in the last season of Better call Saul, even tho I hope Vince Gilligan manages to surprise us all once again
@@Cukito4 good actors bro but that doesn't define every mexican actor. Is like saying every British can do a Tom Hardy role cause they are British. That's stupid.
The Salamanca family has to have some sort of record for the most amazing characters from a single fictional family. Tuco, Hector, the Twins and now Lalo..
And they’re all their own unique brand of psychotic. It would be awesome if they had a flashback of the entire family interacting together in one scene.
the best scene was when Jimmy says "seven thousand nine hundred and eighty five dollars" and Lalo doesn't even stand up, he has twelve-grand in his back pocket already
@Mike Castillo I think he does believe their "good" since he knows them as family. It's just that his standard of "good" is pretty messed up being a bit psychotic and growing around cartel goons like Hector his whole life.
@@omegamanGXE the gang massacre was when they found nacho shot in the desert and he told them he and the other dude were ambushed by a silver car, which the cousins then tracked down to a rival gang. I don’t remember the little girl part tho. Maybe in Breaking Bad where they went up to that rural family and took their clothes while staring down at the girl??
As a mexican, I confirm that his attitude is exactly the same of a mexican tío, confident, out going and very annoying. But most of tíos aren't drug lords jajaja
I felt the same way about him, I’m glad they had characters like him and Nachos dad who had the accent and actual demeanor of a Mexican. The Spanish from Gus and Hector are atrocious. Hectors Spanish especially annoyed me because he’s supposed to be “from Michoacán” which is where my family is from. Nothing Michoacán about him.
