LAMB OF GOD 512 Reaction!!! 

The Randy Blythe manslaughter case was a court case in the Czech Republic, stemming from a 2010 Lamb of God concert in Prague, wherein 19-year-old fan Daniel Nosek sustained head injuries leading to a coma and subsequent death. During the investigation, Czech police unsuccessfully asked United States authorities for cooperation. When the band returned to the Czech Republic for another concert two years later, its vocalist Randy Blythe was arrested, charged with causing Nosek's death, and remanded in custody for five weeks. According to a verdict delivered by the Municipal Court in Prague on March 5, 2013, it was proven that Blythe had thrown Nosek offstage and thus had moral responsibility for his death. However, due to the circumstances, Blythe was not held criminally liable, and most of the blame lay with promoters and security members. The acquittal was upheld by the Prague High Court on June 5, 2013.

Another important point about this case was that Randy was allowed to post bail and leave the country. He could have chosen to to never visit the Czech Republic again and avoid any potential financial/legal charges, but he chose to return despite the fact that he could have been imprisoned had he lost. THAT is some exemplary moral character. I also believe that the parents of the victim personally spoke to him and they themselves came to the conclusion that he wasn't personally responsible, and they finally received closure that I'm sure they desperately needed.

Someone got over the barrier past security and jumped on stage with the performers. Randy pushed him off and the dude hit his head and died. (Extremely compressed version. There is a good documentary about it.) You can't just surprise performers on stage, they have no idea if you're there to knife them. Stupid decision with an unfortunate outcome. Impossible situation for Randy.

Lamb of God is one of the best metal bands period! Allegaeon will be. Would you be so kind to react to Proponent for sentience III the Extermination? It will blow you away. Brutal riffing and excellent soloing. Nice mix of growling and singing.

Randys book darkdays is a great read and fills in all the questions you may have. And as someone else mentioned the documentary as the palaces burn also shines some light on the subject. You may be able to reach out to randy and get him to chat with you for a while. He has a lot to say from the loss of a child to his battle with drugs and alchol and his photography.

I can't believe Randy was arrested for that BS. I met him once he is so kind and cares deeply for his fans. The whole band are a bunch of down to earth guys from Virginia. This happened in 2010 in Czech Republic, he was arrested but acquitted after 5 weeks. This is such a strong and powerful song.

I couldn't find it on Netflix, but if you have Amazon Prime video check out As the palaces burn. It's a documentary that was supposed to focus on the band's fans and there stories, but while filming this case took center stage. It will give you quite an appreciation for the guys in the band while filling you in on the whole story. A must watch!

Fun fact: Wall of Death was first done by Sick Of It All in 1997. They called it the Braveheart.

What's really honorable about Randy Blythe, LoG's singer, is that he was released on bail with the condition that he would return to the Czech Republic for trial, and he actually did! He kept his word and went back for his trial.

Lamb of God are one of the best bands in all of music. Mark Morton is an amazing guitar player and there is so much soul and feel to his playing. You need to watch “As the palaces burn”. It a documentary and it covers what happened to Randy and how it affected the band. Always a fan of more LOG

you were correct, 512 was Randy's cell number. also, the Prague prison he was in was used by the Nazi's to execute prisoners (over 1000 via guillotine beheading) and communists (over 400 via hanging). his cell was down the hall where people were beheaded. I believe that very guillotine is/was still on display while he was in prison. this is talked about in another song off this album, "still echoes".

Randy held a guy down for jumping up on stage in Prague but some dude died in the crowd and some where there was a confusion between the kid who died and the kid who jumped up on stage. Us metal heads are intense and brutal, we beat the shit out of each other but we help each other back up after we knock them down

NO.. He threw someone off stage and they suffered head injuries, which they later died from. When LoG returned years later, he was arrested. He was later acquitted as they proved he was not criminally liable.

LAMB OF GOD - Torches. This one is a very chilling reminder of following events of Soviet invasion in Czechoslovakia in the Summer of 1968. Look up the name Jan Palach. Randy wrote this after his stint in Prague prison. This in is heavy.

Great band and great song. Time for a story, I was fortunate enough way back when they were first starting out under the name Burn the Priest, to be able meet them and play a show with them near my hometown in central PA. I knew we had a show booked and some band named Burn the Priest was on the show. Little did I know at the time what their future had in store for them lol. We played the show and was talking to all of them and Randy asked us to play a show with them the next night in Athens Ohio and of course we said yes. They crashed at a friends house that night and we all hung out at a local small bar in my hometown. After an 8 hour drive the next day we ended up in Athens at an old barn. Inside was the biggest skate bowl I had ever seen with some semi-pro skaters flying around. We ended up playing on a little platform, prob 30 feet up in the air attatched to the barn right where the skaters dropped in. It was quite an experience, lol. Then of course they went on to become Lamb of God and the rest is history. I still have their cassette demo and first tshirt they ever had. Bunch if great guys and they deserve all the success they have cause they definately put in the time and grind for it. Song request: For Today - Break the Cycle

Durst was performing a song called "Fuck Shit Up" before these things happened at Woodstock. When the violence occurred, then people blamed him and the group for inciting it. He never told them to rape or destroy shit. Also, many people interviewed blamed the promoters for their lack of security, water, and functioning facilities and the triple-digit heat which all heavily contributed to 1000's of concert-goers using the song as an excuse to take out their aggressions. Some unfortunately went completely overboard.

I have taken lives for my country. Ending someone's life, even though they were deemed my enemy, gives me nightmares to this day. The strange thing is that I did not feel anything until I was reprogrammed as a civilian much later. I brought the violence back with me and did not begin to heal until 22 years later when I wanted to end my own life. I love everything you guys do. I do get a little annoyed by some of these folks asking for specific songs and completely missing the deeper part of your discussions.
