As to the claim that you have to replace the battery every 5 years I'll just quote an article: cleantechnica.com/2018/04/16/tesla-batteries-have-90-capacity-after-160000-miles-may-last-for-500000-miles/ "Projecting forward from the real world data available, a Tesla battery should still have 80% battery capacity after 500,000 miles of driving, the group claims. The vast majority of internal combustion engines would have stopped functioning long before then."

Quickest sedan, not fastest in a quarter mile. Just a bit beyond the qm, it’ll get overtaken by the M5 comp, AMG GTS and the RS7 just to name a few faster sedans.

It takes a million dollar lambo 6.5 litre V12 super car to beat a 4 door electric sedan that wasn’t built for racing by 0.1 seconds. Tesla Roadster 2.0 will eat lambos like a lamb on a spit. (Edit: The price of lambos are different in various countries as a result of taxes and fees. Some have stated it’s only half a million dollars.)

Wayne Bolton we haven’t seen the new roadster on a track. Even still, Tesla hasn’t been around as long as Lambo and isn’t building a track car. They are building a mass production vehicle that will smoke any lambo in a drag race for a fraction of the cost.

bring it to an actual race track, and the tesla will be the underdog. The motor will heat up and will have to abandon a 20 lap race mid way lmao. Let's not talk about top speed and cornering. The amount of body roll the tesla has is ridiculous. obv in a 1/4 mile race it will win, cuz it's electric. People have made rc cars that can beat out hypercars in a small straight. The Porsche 918 Spyder has a hybrid electric engine which gives it insane torque, but it's not the best in terms of speed

@@lime4 Maybe not the Model S P100D, but the 1,100hp / 1,500 lb-ft torque tri-motor and 520 Mile range Model S Plaid has done lap time at Laguna Seca with a mind-blowing 1 minute 30 second lap time...that's fast for an electric car. I can't imagine what the Tesla Roadster 2.0 will do that lap time in.

Tesla is superior. In real world conditions this p100 will beat this SV anywhere at any traffic light but a long free drag strip like this. A full sized sedan vs a sports supercar and it still handles it's own. Once Tesla creates it's sports cars it's over for the world.
