and Ferrari's, amongst others...@@alcapony4935 - David speaks like he's the doyen of mechanics and repairs all cars ever built in his sleep - he probably does when he's dreaming!
Great video, more like this on other cars would be a most welcome series. Add a few more real running costs would be so helpful for people thinking about buying a car. People trust what you say, you're not a journalist with another motive which is so refreshing
The issue you missed, which you have mentioned on another video is the 3 gauges going out above the consol. Fairly common I believe. Is there a fix (who?) rather than replacing the main dash that drives the gauges. Thanks
That was an excellent video! And I always check multiple modules for mileage discrepancy - good tip! Seems odd that they didn’t build in camper adjustment. Should be easy to do with double wishbone suspension!
Really good video, so open and honest. Makes a change from some other channels 😁 Would be interesting to have a "real world" cost for a 1-year, 2-year and 4-year service "ballpark"... Is it £300, £500, £800 for a 1-year service?
I daily mine and do 10k miles a year, you missed leaking shocks the same as the r8 Iv emailed you for a quote on two rear ones, lambo now warranty them up to 12 years old for 5k a year
Do you ever come across performantes with center locks wheels that click loudly and consistently when turning? I've been told by the dealership that this happens eventually to all perfs with center locks.. something about the brakes and the centralization of pressure on the wheels from the locks.. but idk. It sounds horrible and I can't imagine Lamborghini making this car and being ok with this sound.
Another great video and love the always great vibe and energy! Ricky you say that the Huracan is basically an R8 gen2, are the maintenance costs the same or are there parts with the Huracan that will make it more expensive to maintain?
I love your Huracan videos, I repair my own H. Thank you! Anyone know what scan tool to reset the Haldex(front diff)? Also what scan tool to reset the "service due" message.
Sharing parts and chasis is not uncommon these days BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, and many more manufacturers do the same. There is no reason to be upset. Most people dont realize that they are overpaying for most cars that they are buying but...hey if they are happy then that is all that matters. And as far as mechanical problems all of the above manufacturers check that box also
Ricky, I follow you on your channel and your racing at NG which I hope you have a fantastic 24 season. (Please update on) Oulton Park race weekend.. Question.. you being now+40 have you ever thought about racing sidecars and what are your thoughts on sidecars? Id love to hear your thoughts this sport especially around the IOM..
With my R8 2023 I am having a recurring problem, the A/C stops cooling, it starts to blow extremely hot air, not sure if the Huracan has the same problem. First time I took it to the service center, they said they reset the A/C and it fixed itself, another time I fiddled with the knobs and it fixed itself, but other times it didn't fix itself, even restarting the car didn't help. Has anyone had this issue?
One thing on the cost vs gen 2 R8, insurance is mental for any and all Lambos if you're under a certain age. Couldn't believe the prices I was getting quoted even, compared to equivalent value Ferrari's, GT3s, McLaren's, etc. the numbers just don't make any sense, but I guess more knobs crash Lambos.
Ricky, what's the difference/similarities between a Gen 1.5 facelifted R8 to a Gen 2? Obviously the DCT and the updated rear frame rails/subframe to accommodate that transmission..... But is there anything else that the 1.5's have that the Gen 2's have as well?
@@Elberoth I believe you are wrong. The facelifted R8's with the DCT have the exact same drivetrain as the early Huracans. Supposedly the only difference, as far as drivetrain goes, is a detuned ECU. However, I'm looking for Ricky, the expert, to confirm what others have said as well as any other mechanical changes. I'm obviously not talking about the exterior and interior differences.
@@Elberoth the 1.5 with the DCT has the exact same engine and transmission as the Gen 2 R8 and Huracan. Only difference is tuning and a viscous coupling versus haldex AWD on the Gen 2. I was asking if they share anything else other than the engine and transmission. Keep up!
Just watching your car video you said you prefer a different type of car Security other than ghost immobiliser would you be able to tell me what it is?
🤓 Some sense on 👻👍, the number of RangeRover owners I hear ending up with smashed screens, windscreens & slashed seats because the thief couldn’t steal the car.
I've found a similarity between this gorgeous looking Lambo and my Transporter. If I jack my transporter up at the front, it lifts the back also.... phew! Saved myself a few quid into the bargain😂😂😂 and the nose lift module swimming is typical of car manufacturers. You'd think someone at the factory would test pour a lot of water over them and see where they puddle! My Q7 puddles in the passenger footwell when the front passenger side drain plugs block up with leaves.... it's worse than the blooming MX5 that used to be a swimming pool after a shower of rain😳 there is another topic for a 'RANT'... Why do oem's make stuff that is 'dogshit' and don't care about the pain and suffering you go through as a result.😂😂
I'm sure Ric mentioned the difference. Anyway deadbolt the alarm system disables a relay for example fuel pump relay. halo on the other hand mashes the ecu and to disable there is more than pushing a button to disable. You have a sequence to go through like press the horn button twice then put the righthand indicator on, then press the clutch pedal (or flap paddle ) wait five seconds for two beeps and your ready to start the car, if you get the procedure right. Hope that helps.
That's really strange. In most of the Eu you get fined or even sent to jail for tampering in any way with vehicle odometer or stored milage data. In my country it's a straight up prison time for doing that. Edit: just looked it up, it's up to 8 years in prison in my country.
Lambo all day long , but not on finance . Cash a roony only if I had the choice. Probably a better purchase would be 200k on Bitcoin, wait a year and triple ya money . 😃 Mucho bigo financial crash just round the corner 😵💫
Hello, I am a manufacturer of car navigation screen modification and upgrading. We have a 10.4-inch modified screen for Audi R8 cars and are currently seeking overseas agents. Are you interested in joining us?
Aaaaah a Tupper wear car costing a fortune and can only drive in a straight line. Because all lambos are useless in a corner. So buy an Audie R8 and save a fortune. Or by 2 and have change. Boy racer car or show off. Better still Buy a Bentley GT that's solid .British built plus the engine . Far more beautiful to look at .plus it can corner.A real drivers car and a bloody sight more comfortable .
