FYI ... You can order comfort seats as an option. I agree, those sport seats are hard, I've tried them. The comfort seats are much better if this is going to be your everyday driver.
I bought a lumbar cushion for my Porsche 911 but since I sold the car several years ago, I've been putting it to good use on the office chair in which I am now sitting.
Hassaan Abdeen I agree completely. Most reviews don’t ever point out anything bad as they don’t want to step on anyone’s toes and not be able to drive more cars. This was done tastefully so it works and is honest
@@fickoffduck675 no I disagree. If you are going to make complaints atleast make reasonable ones. Almost all of his complaints were utterly moronic. Not enough headroom well hello its a convertible out the top down and theres no shortage of head room! Uncomfortable seats? Then go get the comfort seats option instead of the race buckets. And he admitted the low roof is for design. So there is no point of integrity if its just going to be stupid. Where is this guys integrity for Porsche? Watch his other vids and you will see this guy is the biggest Porsche fanboy with no integrity to them at all.
I just love these well put together films. They make the content have a much wider appeal. My mum just sat down to watch this, which is saying something! lol Nice one Dan and gang.
Wales should be renamed Driving Wonderland, forget Angela's Crest. Awesome review, got details of the sensations of driving such an awesome car. Well done autocar for hiring Dan.
Lamborghini have knocked the ball out of the park with the PERFORMANTE. Other supercars feel and sound boring with their turbo charged engines. Long live the naturally aspirated engine although this may well be lambo's last N/A V10 with the new Huracan going hybrid. Coupe or Spyder ? Mmmmm Track Performance = coupe, Road and posing = spyder
i was at a bar last week with friends and we saw a guy parking a Huracan in NYC. it was the most hilarious thing we have seen our whole life! after 30 minutes of bumping into front and back cars, he gave up and drove away. what an awesome car!
I love supercars like this. They are such amazing feats of technology. Sadly, I realized long ago that I would probably never get to personally experience this level of performance... in a car. I get very similar level of acceleration, turning, braking, in something that cost as much as a Civic.
For a video this long I would suggest including more variety iof shots, specifically include use of a chase car. Film out the back of the chase vehicle to capture the front of the lambo in motion. Film the lambo blowing past the chase vehicle. Film the lambo in motion from the 3/4 shot (yes you have to be aware of oncoming traffic for the two previously mentioned shots). Use the drone to film the lambo coming towards it then quickly cut to it departing on down the road. Many more shot selections to consider...
Well Dan I have to agree it’s a special Car,on the Day it drove I also had three laps in a McLaren and a Porsche GT3RS plus three passenger laps in an Ariel Atom, the Huracan was the highlight, so easy to drive, brakes were awesome (carbon ceramic).....
you can get the same tyres on the stock huracan, On the same tyres, the performante is 22 seconds!!! faster than a stock huracan on the nordschleiffe, and thats solely because of the advanced aerodynamic systems they called 'ALA' Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva, lamborghini's active aerodynamics. it does ALOT.
The picture on the caption KINDA reminds me of a SPIDER version of the Lamborghini Cala concept car back in the 90s..., Maybe becaus of the yellow, but the rear end picture KINDA has the same flow..., BEAUTIFUL
if you make a review you need to mention the options the car has and the choices you have when you order the car, for example the seats, you have the sport ones for full race experience or the comfort seats
It is quite a feat that the Corvette chassis is so rigid that there is no weight difference between the hardtop and the convertible version, while the competition add so much weight to reinforce their convertibles.
Jameel Ja I thought it was funny how they are calling the performante spyder pointless, but gave praise to the Speciale Aperta. Both variants of the cars are nice, but I would prefer the original car.
@@JJs_playground I don't understand how you don't understand the point. The point is for people who want an open top experience and would comprimise a few seconds on a track to get to hear that screaming v10 much more louder and clearly while tearing a canyon road. That's why
I tried the coupe out as I love this car but yes comfort seats is the best option for me as I’m 120kg 6ft guy I find it a bit inconvenient getting in or out but once inside I’m ok😅 . Roof is tight for head room.. I’m at loggerheads with it whether to get this or a v10 plus which I must admit is easier to live with 😏
The million dollar question is whether you would rather buy the Performante Spyder over the Performante Coupe? My speculative answer is of course at least on paper the coupe is the better car, but unless you track the car and/or have access to some amazing driving roads where you live, the pros of the coupe are probably overstated as you probably won't have much opportunity to be able to experience and savour that performance difference and advantage. Furthermore, the added visceral driving experience with the roof off will probably more than make up for it. Personally, I am not a huge convertible guy, but I can definitely see why people will lust after the Spyder. What would be your choice?
like this guy alot, but he is a bit of a bad super car reviewer because it is very clear that he is heavily Porsche biased. He finds a flaw with every supercar except porsche and really hypes porsches up to be better than they really are. As a 991.2 4gts owner I can completely understand how and why he is porsche biased. But i am friends with many supercar owners and have driven many (including the latest performante coupe'), and while my porsche has the best overall performance of almost anything I've driven besides more racier porsches (combining value, practicality, drive, and feel) , it does lack a great deal of presence and beauty that other supercars bring to the table, and Dan should focus more on that instead of measuring every supercar by how it compares to an equivalent porsche.
Exactly this guy is the biggest Porsche nut hugger when it comes to reviewing sport cars. He also does the same thing with sport sedans by being heavily biased to BMW (he owns an m4). The most important trait for a professional car reviewer should be neutrality. If I wanted a biased fan boy review I would head over to bimmerpost or any car forum.
Semantics, tiny little differences that most of us wouldn’t notice, you drive lots of Cars so you’ll notice more and at the end of the Day if I’m smiling after a blast in one of these then that’s fine by me...😎
They're carbon fibre race seats not made for comfort. Considering you obviously read the spec sheet before hand idk why you're complaining. VW group use them across the car companies. Everyone says the same thing
Collabot Oh, let me make myself clear… its a Virtual Cockpit but with Lamborghini’s theme/typography. The satnav next to the rev/speed is the system they used in the old A4/5/6/7 etc. and indeed my S1. It doesn’t use the exact layout that Audi use with its Virtual Cockpit.
Yes, that’s correct. Software is a bit older, but still, I guess its better than any other system from the luxury or performance brands ala Ferrari, McLaren etc. Only satnav better in this class is Aston Martin because they use the Mercedes software and hardware.
I would assume that if your spending this kind of money on a Car that you’d be able to custom fit said Seats for a price obviously, and yes, if your over 5’10” you will have vision problems but I’m sure Lamborghini could sort it out, you make it sound like it’s ill conceived as If Lamborghini don’t care, I drove an acid Green one last year and it suited me, I guess I’m carrying my own padding and am height challenged and yes it thrilled beyond believe and it was fast enough for me!
