Ban until 2035 for hybrids and 2030 for NA cars after that I think sales will take a big hit for the companies making the whole fleet ev will loose interest on real buyers but more on potencial future buyers some will try the EVs and some will not even bother I think that it will find it's sales level eventually but a bit lower than what it was with ice engines that'll probably push the companies to push the governments to remove the ban as of now it'll have some revisions before 2030 and 2035 and Germany and Italy and some other countries are going against it so there's hope car makers like Lamborghini and Ferrari continue to make the cars we all love and would love to own one day

@@lfox02 Yeah due to its position it sends power backwards, not forwards into the gearbox and then 4x4 torque distributer like the Aventador. Here it only sends power into the rear wheels via gearbox assisted by the rear electric motor. The front wheels are powered by another electric motor as opposed to the engine only in the previous lamborghini cars.

@@neohimself any weight disadvantage is far outweighed by the performance gains of the gear shifts. Plus DCT’s can usually handle huge power, so those seeking twin turbo setups will be happy with that.

I was dying for them to pair the V12 with a dct. The first gen R8 with the single clutch automated manual wasn’t bad, but it was much better when they switched to the dct. The second gen R8 and Huracan were doing 2.5 seconds to 60 and got into mid 10’s in the quarter mile and a large part of that is because of the dct. How else could a 500whp car weighing 3300lbs do 0-60 in 2.2 seconds and the quarter mile in 10.1@136mph? Its insane. The new V12 flagship should have no issues doing low 9’s like the SF90.

no its not, he said the power output is 1000cv which is 985 hp, it was speculated to have 1050hp, with more weight from batteries and motors and 985 hp this would perform lower than SF90.

Peak power at 9250 rpm so the rev limit is probably even a little higher. The aventador now revs to 8500 rpm so this is a huge upgrade.

Being a lifetime fan of V12 engines, of course i appreciate this new Lamborghini. But i have to say, there is nothing really new in this concept that competitors like Ferrari did not feature in the last years. And honestly, compared to the Rimac Nevera, this is nice, but not overwhelming. The future of Supersports has 4 electric motors and nearly unlimited power and traction. As Rimac is somehow related to Volkswagen now, we will face the results of this cooperation on the streets soon, maybe also with a Lamborghini badge.

i actually like that theyve dumped the mechanical awd system in favor of strictly electric front axle drive. this will massively improve handling. it'll turn in and rotate like a rwd car but it can add front drive only when it will benefit acceleration. also you may be able to turn off front drive all together and go drifting ;) AND the fact theyre still using a v12 makes me so happy

It wasn't a "teaser" video. It is the first in a series of informative segments that build a base understanding and excitement ahead of the unveiling of a very significant automobile. That's the way Ferruccio did it with the Miura chassis at Geneva the year before that masterpiece shook the world.

@@briandouglas5552 I have been working in marketing for several German automotive brands for 2 decades - what you describe is a teaser, we have produced many. He literally says at the end "stay tuned" and you currently see this teaser campaign everywhere. It is a typical favorite of automotive marketing teams because they think they can generate massive interest for the full reveal. In this case, the number of people who are excited about the drivetrain is much smaller than those that will be excited about the full reveal. It is very visible when you see the engagement numbers of the different campaign phases.

A dual clutch in Lamborghini’s flagship model will loosen the chains imposed on the Aventador by the single clutch unit and metaphorically “release the bull”. That being said, the Aventador was my bedroom poster car and it’s pure violence and beauty will be missed. My ultimate goal is to own one someday, if just to please my 12 year old, wide eyed self.

I think they did it right actually. The motors are there for power generation mostly through regenerative braking. As well as power output (obviously). It's a very expensive and complicated power train, but it's a Lamborghini. It's a better setup than the e-ray, but the e-ray was honestly good enough.

That is quite interesting, as Lamborghini chose to transversely mount the V12 with the addition of a hybrid system. I assume they will implement the same design and mounting on the V10 and possibly their twin-turbo V8 engines as well.

Im a strong Ferrari fan but i love Lamborghini too specifically the SVJ hold a special place in me but after watching this video and seeing that no more single clutch, PHEV V12 with 3 electric motors and the whole redesign of the back...it just puts me off. Honestly I this isnt my cup of tea and ill stick to the main 3 Lambos musketeers which i truly love...Performante, Urus and SVJ Also I think Lambo is really just wanting competition with Ferrari because previously even tho the comp was moderately high and both brands offered something each cant the SVJ still sells and all. I wouldnt consider anything after the SVJ ( Countach is excluded tho cux that is hypercars im talking supes now) Anyways still looking forward to see unveiling of the car! Kudos!
