Lamley Showcase: A Look into Tomica Premium 

Love these Tomicas. Try to view these as up-specced main lines rather than TLV-level models. These aren't locked to one scale unlike TLV, but there's good attention paid towards full tampos/decals, manufacturer-accurate (rather than generic) wheels and where appropriate, the use of lensed lights.

Wait, no disrespect but that ztune is a great casting, with clear lights, open doors, nice wheels and good paint. You can get tomica mainline and premiums so easily through online vendors cheaply and more available than some of the hot wheels. not much to worry about scalpers. Also, that evo3 everyone should get, one of the best casting this year.

Same the Cadillac is my favorite !

Tomica Premium is basically their version of HW Car culture imho. basically modified mainline castings with a few premium only models.

The opening doors kills the realistic look, plus side view mirrors would make the sealed door cars look damn good.

Some models look better than the others. If you get the Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Diablo SV, Countach and some others, they're in the same level as the Cadillac you just showed. Im impressed with these that I've bought.

If Tomica LV decides to do any other cars they haven’t done yet, they should do these cars. 1. Nissan Skyline GTR proper (R32, R33, R34) 2. Nissan Fairlady 300ZX 3. Subaru Impreza 22b STI 4. Honda S2000 5. Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT 6. Toyota MK. 4 Supra 7. Honda NSX Anyway, I really love the Toyota 86, Nissan R33 Skyline, Toyota Supra, and Mitsubishi Lan Evo 3. 😁

Agree with you. Cadillac seemed most well done, while the Z32 is also one of my all time favorite cars. Have always wanted one since it was released.

I like all the Tomica, knowing I get what I pay for I don't expect as much from a base model as I do from a Premium or limited vintage. That being said I only collect a few specific models as I come across them. There are just to many other things available to collect and my 1:64 addiction is bad enough already.

Really love the gtr. Though hotwheels made one better imo. Its the retro carded blue gtr. Its feels more sturdy in the hand which make you love em even more. Yet, the details on the tomica version seems to be much better. The are more aligned and clear. At the end of the day you just cant resist of having em both!

They pink caddy is BY FAR the best from that group. I do like the Porsche alot tho.

I still from childhood have a few tomica cars.1/64 size.. opening doors.. suspension a pajero a saab and one other i think.. plus i have 2 of the tomy city stuff. A car wash and a service garage.. i add photos but this aint facebook.. 🤔 Also had the tomy takara air blaster car.. jammer was a name i think used. It was a dune buggy that had a little air pump and the car had a air cylinder and the motor was air powered piston.. dont know if still have as my dad threw stuff out a while ago including vintage hot wheels and Matchbox cars plus hot wheels usa city sets.. also gone i rhink is my also vintage transformers.. 😢

In your other video you said Tomica stick to 1/64 so all the cars relative in size like the real cars. But these are all different scales. Is there a certain line that sticks to relative scale?

These are great models. My only real concern is the shipping and import costs for us in Europe: These models are not easily accessible in Europe and end up being way more expensive than a comparative Autoworld or a Greenlight or even some Kyosho models, all costs considering. Anyway, my favorites are the Porsche 911 Carrera and the Toyota Supra. I'll defintely try and collect at least some of these, as getting them all would be really expensive. Thanks for the showcase.

The scale bothers me. But not the details. Premium maybe in the same class as GL. I still prefer premium than HW though. Got 20 something of them, pretty cheap where i live.

This version of R34 isn’t the best R34 indeed.I’m sure there are other models from Kyosho,Tamiya and also Greenlights.Guess you can post a clip to compare the differences and find which one is the best(for me it’s the R34 Nismo Z-Tune from Kyosho Nismo package).

Lancer Evo 3 is underrated.

I gotta say, through the lack of realism and scale, I don't understand the price they command. At that point, I find Hotwheels and Matchbox do a far better job @ 20-50% of the price. TLV is a whole different story, but these Tomica mainlines and "Premiums" are more like very cheap Majorette competitors...so why the very premium price? At that price = MiniGT which is 90-95% of a TLV. Someone correct me here.
