So let me get this straight. Ever since I've moved into this house, I have been visited by: - a shy Ghost Girl - a clumsy Giant - A Yandere Kitsune and Neko pair - a clumsy Harpy lady - and now a moth girl Not to mention all the other Yandere who seem to be stalking my home, I should probably consider moving -_-
I feel like this moth girl was purely interested in the lamp. The "flirting" was merely an act to butter up the listener so they'd let her hold the salt lamp for longer. I ONLY upvoted to support Vanilla. Because that's what heroes do.
My hero! 🤗 And you're probably right...she is primarily interested in the lamp. But I think if she's allowed to hang onto the lamp so she's not totally distracted by it, a friendship (or more) might be possible!
You're genuinely really good at playing these Manic Pixie Dream Girl type characters. Like serious Katharine Hepburn in Bringing Up Baby vibes. Great work!
Wow! Thank you! I haven't actually seen all of Bringing Up Baby (shame on me, I know, since it's one of the best comedies of all time) but this is still one of the most flattering comparisons I've ever gotten since starting this channel. Thank you!
Awww. Very much like the cute wolf-girl indeed. If more singular focused in her energeticness. And certainly ending "Here for the Boos" on a high note. While it probably wasn't intentional, the precision F-strike Mothgirl used really cracked me up. As did her total disappointment when she realized the light that attracted her was just a computer monitor. Totally my headcannon the Listener wakes up in the morning to find she'd fallen asleep on the bed with him cuddling her true best friend Mr. Lamp. Stellar performance as always.
I'm scared to ignite my lightsaber near her. She'd probably hurt herself! I'm really glad to join y'all for Here for the Boos! It's been a blast to listen to the new audios and bounce comments off the fine folks around here. Hopefully you don't mind if I stick around, because don't plan on going anywhere! Last thing, I promise. Do you make your own thumbnails? They're all super cute and deserve some praise!
Of course I don't mind. 💖 I'm not gonna throw out my new listeners at the end of an event! Re: thumbnails: they're all made from stock art. Some are heavily edited or composited from multiple images to fit the audio's character/vibe. The moth girl, for instance, is made up of four different pieces of stock and colored to get the look I wanted. It's not quite as labor intensive as drawing my own thumbnails, but it's also a bit more involved than stealing a cute anime girl png off google images and plopping her on a background.
@@VanillaVelvetAudio Thanks for taking the time to break down your thumbnail process and satisfy my curiosity! If memory serves, my first exposure to you was the tomboy stalker one. I enjoyed it so much, I subbed right away, and the rest is history!
The aggressive obsession with lights you exhibited was incredible! 👏 I swear you keep unlocking new local skills with each audio. It's a shame October ended so soon though, hearing your spooky audios was nice and chill-inducing but hey, Christmas is gonna pull up soon so maybe we'll get reindeer audio or two, either way, I can't wait for what's in store. 🥰
Ok so I've just come from listening to all of the scripts of my fills you've done and I really want to say thank you for all of it. For me as a writer, it's always a pleasure hearing my scripts performed. And the fact that you can take my writing and bring the scenario to life by creating something like *this* will never not be amazing to me. Keep up the fantastic work. On to this audio though! It was amazing. Of course it was. Do I even need to say more? Probably not, but you know I will. I absolutely *adored* the way you portrayed this character. First of all, the range of characters you display is awesome. Just going off my scripts alone, the different atmosphere you bring to each of them is *very* noticeable and stupidly well done. For our crazy moth girl here, I love how you just rolled with her hyper, frantic demeanour, from her lamp freakouts to the flirtiness. Even when things calmed down near the end of the script and you became a lot sweeter, I could still feel that bit of her character. Fucking stellar performance here. Listening to your fills made my night. I can't thank you enough for voicing my writing. It makes my heart happy knowing you enjoy my scripts. Thank you so so *so* much
She is! I think it's because with yanderes there's this sort of unspoken rule that they have to start off sweet before they become intense (and I already favor yandere scripts that tend to be sweet rather than crazed) but here I could just cut loose from the jump.
Aw, thank you! I'm sorry the last few weeks have been rough for you. (I've been struggling a little bit myself the past couple weeks.) I'm so happy to have helped make you feel better in some small way. 🤗
Wonderful performance, thank you so much.😀 Awww, she is just a treat. 👍 Two ideas, if I may: Grabs laser pointer. "This is probably a bad idea. Aaaaand I'm doing it anyway." "This? This is a saftey belt. It's for safety. "It lights up." Runs to closet for cover.👋
If I wake up and find out that moth stole my lamp I'm gonna lose my shit bro Nah but really tho I love your monster girl roleplays!! This one and the wolf girl are my favorites
That makes me so happy to hear. I always worry a bit that my more hyper characters might be a bit exhausting, so when they find their audience I'm thrilled. 🥰
Hahahaha; funny you should bring up Salem's Lot. I actually tried watching that recently and I just could NOT get through it. I know it has the reputation that it like, scarred a generation and everything, but hoo boy it...is not very good. 70's TV Budget + 70's Miniseries Pacing = 😬 (I wonder if the Larry Cohen screenplay that was rejected was any better? Hmm.)
@@VanillaVelvetAudio I didn't like the movie that much but the window scene was amazing. I think the book was much better. I was in a mood for vampires after watching some suggestions I got from a certain someone.
Hahahaha. There was an alternate take where I used "epididymis" instead but I took a vote amongst some friends and they all agreed uvula is the funnier word, even if the other makes for a dirtier, more highbrow joke.
Ha! She would be so disappointed with a magic lamp that doesn't actually light up. "Three wishes?Okay, whatever! *shakes lamp* BUT WHERE'S THE LIGHT BULB?!" (...that reminds me I need to find a good genie script....... 🧞♀️)
Aw, thank you!! Don't worry about me, though; I'm doing pretty darn well for a channel that's only...uh...three? Four months? old? Like, when I started my channel, and I was looking into the kind of growth I should expect so I could set goals for myself, there was a lot of advice that suggested most youtubers take up to two years to make it to 1k subs. I just hit 15k, which is outrageous! Someday I hope to hit 100k (and the pie-in-the-sky number is a million subs, but that's just crazy talk!) and if I'm lucky, I might actually make it! It's thanks to listeners like you, who believe in me and comment/subscribe/share my content, that I've been this successful so far, and I'm eternally grateful that you think I'm talented enough to support. 🥰
I like to sleep at night, she and I would not get along. Fun story though. Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
If this turns out to be a situation like Chick Cluckers faced in Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends when Coco ran right past him to flirt with the lamp, I freaking sw- OH, COME ON! Looks like I'll never be the light of anymoth's life... Her: I'm not as distractible as I may seem! [MARKIPLIER ADS HAVE ENTERED THE CHAT.] Seriously, I could listen to you all day for many reasons, one of the most major of which being that I never have any clue whatsoever to expect, and that is such a rare trait to find in a vocal and acting talent. What a fantastic month of Halloween audios you've provided; every moment was top tier quality! As for me...uh...if you don't want Deku from My Hero Academia ruined for you, don't go the premiere of my Halloween video; it's gonna anger MANY, lol.
@@VanillaVelvetAudio You are a goofy goober, and it comes through in your audios so well. I love that. Your silly ad-libs fueled by your goofy gooberiness make good scripts great. And yes, I was totally looking.
I sure am! The goofiest. I'm a bimbo, dingbat, chowderhead AND numbskull, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. It's nice to have found an audience who appreciates a silly girl like me. 🥰
Quite impressive, Vanilla. This little Moth is hyperactive and cute, seems like fun to hang around with... and tease a little too. By the way, besides the sub-reddit, is there any way to get in contact with you? I have an idea or two I'd like to offer.
Thank you! And not at this time. I'm planning to open a script/idea submission form very soon (I think after the new year? idk for sure, right now I'm just trying to get my next couple months of audios squared away before I commit to doing anything else) so keep those ideas on the back burner! (I also might open an informal discussion thread for script pitches in the meantime. Hmm. We'll see!)
