I didn't even know that John Laurens existed until watching Hamilton. I notice right away how Laurens looks at Hamilton. Up and down. Then I learned he is bisexual somewhat with Laurens. Then it all made sense. Lams shipper right here.

Wanna hear how Laurens and Hamilton became a thing? (Warning: cute) So one day on the battlefield Hamilton sees John and it's love at first sight. After the battle, he wrote a letter to Laurens saying stuff like 'how dare you steal my affection?' and talking about Laurens's icy blue eyes. Luckily, Laurens was just as gay as Hamilton and they fell in love. They even ended up sleeping in the same bed. Sadly, we can't read all of the letters between them, especially the ones from Hamilton to John, because Laurens's dad was an extremely homophobic man and burned a ton of them when he found them. How did people find out about the relationship? One of Hamilton's kids found some of their letters while looking through his late father's belongings. Alexander had kept those letters until the day he died. Instead of freaking out and getting rid of the letters, his kid just scribbled out the bad words. And yes, let them be gay! I have lost count on how many times I've argued with people online because they refuse to accept that they were gay as hell.
@@keeeeeek I think some of it was embellished, but Hamilton did write a letter to Laurens about "You should not have taken advantage of my sensibility to steal into my affections without my consent." I'm also pretty sure that Hamilton's son was the one to publish that (and many other) letter (s). It was an edited version, and some parts were taken out, some think that it was because those parts were too explicit

Are you guys actually okay? Why are you guys shipping founding fathers? One having slaves. This isn’t okay, is this what the society had gone to? Do you realize how messed up this is? S i r, was Burr black? No. Did JEFFERSON have a dark-ish skin colour? No. Simple as that, there are several innacuracies to Hamilton that build up the story, for example, in 'Right Hand Man' it's mentioned 2 times that Hamilton stole British cannons, however that happened in 1775, not later than 1776, which is when Hamilton met John and Laf. These 3 also never met Mulligan IRL. We're mostly shipping fictionalized versions of people in the revolutionary war.
