Actually one of the most honest statements I've hear form a singer was when she said she's not a performer and that she makes her concerts because her fans want to see her, but her real work is on studio. That means she's aware she can make mistakes or get nervous some times at stage because she's not meant for big crowded shows. To me it takes courage and honesty to say that. People tend to be very harsh and to assume EVERY music artist has to be able to dominate a stage, which is not true at all. They require 2 different set of skills.
This song deserves a grammy seriously! Plus the fact that she can sing it so perfectly live is beyond crazy. The first seconds sound soooo funny though. LOL.

This is gorgeous!! I didn't expect that she could sound so well live, the same as in the studio version, without any effect added! Plus she looks so gorgeous on stage too!!! And I love how her voice cracked a bit, and she paused for a while, haha; made the performance so true and human.
Just let her smoke however she wants. Nobody's perfect. It's bad for her health, but it's also her life, and when she wants to quit smoking, that will be her decision. Why don't we stop driving? She is. She has said that in a lot of interviews that she is really shy on stage, buuut she also said that she is slowly getting used to it :) try looking some of them up

I cannot read what people write about the disappointing that Lana really is a smoker. I don't know if people really know who in the world of music do smoke. There are some big names you wouldn't imagine ... But she does it right on stage. She is honest to her fans. And this I like. And I think real fans don't matter. I don't want to be misunderstood - smoking is not good - no discussion. But many musicians do not only smoke! Most of them need alcoholic drinks or sometimes drugs. And if you believe the press and in what Lana says - she "only" smokes cigarettes. No alcohol, no other drugs. I don't want to say that is good, but according her alcoholic past she gets my respect for staying sober until today. I think cigarettes are not the biggest problem in my opinion.

This acapella version is so eerie and beautiful. Equally as good as the album version, but I prefer her live versions of all her songs, which show the raw, untouched talent and voice I get lost in. Forever a Del Rey fan
