I own this in 2020 and I literally want to drive it all my life. The most beautiful, classy, comfortable, full of Personality car ever made, in my humble opinion. You can only hate it or fall in love with it, there's no in between.
Beautifully shot promo...of course most people in U.S. don't know what a Lancia is, but they have always done beautiful work (I am leaving the reliability issue alone for now :-), the early postwar Lancias are classically beautiful.
Bellissima Auto. I love this car When i visited the ferrari museum i saw bunch of people from the ferrari owners club and they all arrived in a thesis. Its also a car you either love or hate. Italians are just wonderful :) (im not italian :D)
Haven't quite captured the real beauty of the marque I believe. There was something more charismatic about the older Lancia's that cannot be replicated without a proper focus on what the marque is working for. Back in the day it was all about engineering innovation and racing. Nowadays, profits just don't seem to be providing the necessary incentive to make truly great cars. And the shame of it is that it's the old Lancia's that are really worth anything today.
Since 2 years I am driving a Lancia Lybra station wagon 1,8. I am very pleased of this car. But I need a new one, cause I drive 1000 km in month. I would like it when you can tell me smth about this beautiful car Thesis.
@Amigoivo I know right now i'm driving a Chrysler 300C, but maybe my next car will be a thesis... to bad they are so F****N expensive here in holland. Our government seems to think that if you can afford a nice car, you can pay bit more in taxes and gas-guzzler taxes. I think the base price is somwhere in the 50-60000 euro region. By the way, what kind of consumption do you get with yours? Is it a diesel?
Work of art. Love it since Kappa. Never make right steering cars, that's true self respect for something it's only yours. Love of money, sell's and power make's brands do...compromise.
@jml8841 Here in suisse (at the Kanton where i am) you have to pay for the weight of the car, so that are about 410 Euro, that is only the half of your tax, but for me a lot more. ;-) The 8,5l/100km are not the normal consumption, if you calculate 10,5 at sporty driving, thats more real. The 2.0Turbo was only built until 2005 or 2006, if you buy a newer Thesis the most are equipped with the 2.4L Diesel with 175 and 185PS, or the 3.2L Benzin with 230PS. Bye Ivo
Hi, i got this video from Lancia on an promotion DVD. I have no official rights on it, but it is official press material, so you should write that the rights belong to Lancia / FCA. Ciao
I agree, because I have one of the first models out lancia thesis emblema 2,4L diesel in black. It is a leasing car and I will have to return it after 5 years. february 2008 was our 5th aniversary. we will be missing the thesis. we have decided to go for a cheaper car and not so beautiful. the c5 from citroen. well, not everybody is a millionär. the company we work for gives us a limited budget. maybe, when the new thema will come out... in 2010, we will lease it! good bye my dear thesis.
@jml8841 I drive a 2.0 Turbo Benzin Thesis, in Germany i had around 10,5 - 11 l/100km here in suisse on the sleepy slow autobahn ;-) with 100-120km/h i had at least 8,5 l/100km, tho official Lancia fuel consumption for my Thesis is 10,6 l/100km. I know some Thesis drivers from Holland, and when we talk about the "high" taxes in Germany (in my case 136 Euro/year), they smile about us. :-) Ciao Ivo
@Amigoivo I bet they do. Just 136 a year?!!, I pay over 800 Euros per year on roadtax for my car. But 8.5L/100km is a good number, it's certainly better than i get with my car ;)
@Hehasallmylove If you like the car, you find a lot nice pictures on our homepage. If you have a special question, you could ask me per mail. There is a lot tho say to this car, and my english isn't good enough for that. ;-) Bye Ivo
@Egereinnogadeins yeah...they make beautyful cars but not reliable ones :)) my uncle has one of these, the 2.4l petrol version 175hp and the engine after like 100,000 km started to make strange noises and fuel consumption...let's say a mustang it's more economical than that shit wrapped in a very very beautiful package :)
Afrim Lusha ...plus refurbishing costs... Additionally, the authorized service is quite terrible (at least since the FCA merger) and even comparable spare parts cost about 2-3 times more than for e.g. the SAAB 9000... Something like "Orio" were great...

€4k is donor car money. If you want a decent example to live with prepare yourself for €10k+ and extra few thousand for timing mechanism and suspension service.
@smellytoilet1996 Oh how wrong you are. It's a classic European design. I understand that you really like America, so I suppose you like American cars, but European cars are the best, they are refined and beautiful, especially the Italian cars because the Italians have a big heritage in arts and design. The Italians make the most beautiful cars.
@xxxtoxxxandxxx though it's not a reliable car you can't say it's shit. and there is a small percent of people that put the aesthetics in front of functionality, and it isn't really a big deal. I'm one of them and as I can see you aren't. But that isn't a reason to call nice looking things but unreliable "shit wrapped in a very very beautiful package".
