Thank you Coach. I have a high value land which I have been trying to sell for 4 years now! I am a case of Asset Very Rich and Cash poor. Nothing wrong with owning land so long as you now what you want to do with it realistically and also ensure that your porfolio is balanced just as Coach keeps telling us.
I'm in the same boast with you. I bought 5 plots hoping to sell after they appreciate. Some have appreciated. For the last 3 years, I've tried to sell without success. My advice is, just buy one plot where you can build your home. The rest of the money, buy in bonds or put in MMF.
Coach Susan , you came into my life in 2022 when i took one of your classes. it was an eye opener and you will never understand the hope you brought into my life and worldview in finances. I am eternally grateful and watch you consistently. This topic hit home. I had purchased two lands in 2021 and in retrospect, it was an emotional purchase. I now know it was not the right decision at the time because i was not aware of other ways of investments. Now all i can do is wait for land appreciation to sell them and reinvest in other areas i deem appropriate for my needs. I look forward to many more videos that will enlighten me further in this financial journey. Thank you.
Am a ugandan staying in jordan 🇯🇴 much appreciated coach suzan for opening up my mind people always say buy land ,buy land but in uganda some times the government even confiscate our land all i want is to buy shares when am back home at the ground .thanks
Hi violet which side of uganda do you come from please because I have a plot there but am thinking of selling it since the place is far for me it's hard to manage
You are a gem and i have no doubt your generation will be. I love your detailed coverage on this topic. You have echoed my words to my colleagues and thus i had to share this video 😂. Profound work .
It is a big lie that land is the best investment because it appreciates in value. An infrastructure bond can bring a better return, which, if reinvested, will appreciate more than land.
In my opinion is luck sometimes. Yes I had cash for buying 2.5M for 50*100 and by good luck our MP did tarmac road just right near it. The valuation price within 1year went up to 4.2M.
Coach Susan, thanks! Nobody should fall for any scam because you keep hammering us to do due diligence. As for land, it can't be stated enough in Kenya nowadays that you have to research and do it again before buying any soil.
omg... coach you are right. I recently bought a plot and I have just discovered I bought it to just please my parents. my mom kept asking when i will buy a plot? so I started the buying process, then she started asking me "umemaliza kulipa? ulipata tittle deed? so to put an end to her questions i gave her the tittle deed to keep it for me, now whenever i go home she must ask me if i regulary check on my plot. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I bought land without viewing it first. Turned out it was in the bundus kabisa. Good thing it was cheap and my investment was not big. Maybe oil will be discovered there someday then I will rejoice at my investment.
I have a burning question, i have you will see this. I took loan and bought a piece of land 2 years ago. Is prudent to sell rhe land and invest elsewhere,, say bonds and bills?
I have a burning question unrelated to the topic. I hope you get to see this. Now that there's rumours that the country is going towards recession and people are being advised to withdraw all their money from banks, what's your take coach? How about those of us who invest in MMFs, are we safe? Thanks.
