What a sweet tribute to someone so precious to them. As I have said many times, dads are a little girls first love. Threatening to take him away from his wife and marry him themselves, standing on his feet so they can dance together. Running straight to dad when he and mom come home, hitting up dad for…anything…instead of mom because he’s the softy. And of course, should it go that way, daddy getting his first look at her in her wedding gown, walking her down the aisle, daddy/daughter wedding dance (she’s always been “his little girl”) and the let down when it’s all over and a new man has taken his place. But then a smile comes out and he remembers that he was also her first prince. During her Princess phase she told him so. He was the one who taught her how she should expect to be treated by a boyfriend. A boyfriend in a long string of boyfriends he personally vetted . It seemed none were good enough. But there was one. He managed to make the grade. And he knows that one of his precious babies, now a woman fully grown, is happy and settled!

Very nice. It's a nice way to remember

I wish that this video would have gone on to the beginning of the weather forecast. I noticed Laura Betker had a hard time getting started with the weather - choking up about this story a little. It was touching to see that she really related to "Dad Rock Radio". Nothing was mentioned of this on air or in the paper. It would be a nice follow up to hear about her Dad. Maybe give us a dad story.
