This was once a greatcentre of learning and worship for students from Central Asia, China,Burma aand Ceylon. Every pillar, arch, and relic from sarnath, Sonepurand Patna, Nalanda and Vaishali, Pavapuri and Bodh Gaya to Rajigir,recalls something of the spirit and message of Sakyamuni to devoutpilgrims.
