Two weeks ago I went with the Terrafirma 2inch coils for my 2011 LR4. While I miss the air ride in some situations, I was surprised that the coils provide better high speed cornering and stability when combined with larger tires and lift. Lastly, peace of mind is priceless. If your Land Rover air suspension has ever left you stranded in the middle of nowhere, you'll know what I mean.

Getting the performance brakes from brembro is perfect as well. British Atlantic sells a great lot for that too. Also, I replaced my wheel hubs about ever 40k due to the lift camber being slightly off. I would recommend to anyone having those parts handy if you do a break job on the truck. They are expensive but easy to do if you already have the brakes off. Temkin makes the best wheel hub assembly for LR3/4 in my view

I switched to british atlantic coil with 2'lift. Best money I ever spend. Great ride with the coils. I also added rear tire carrier, front terra firm bumper with winch, front oil sump guard, 275x65x18 bf Goodrich tires, rock sliders. This is probably the best off road vehicle on the market.

Hey man, I did the same thing with my suspension on a 2006 and reflagged the ECM to get the dash lights to go off best mod ever

I also removed the trash air bags on mine and installed the HD coil setup. Best money spent on it other than buying the lr3 in the first place. Nice mods buddy!

I have the Atlantic British 2.5" coil conversion lift on my LR3. 275/65/18 Cooper STT Pro tires. No rubbing. Looking back, I wish I would have just kept my air suspension and replaced the components. It would have been the same cost. I like the air ride system on LR. Also, I have a LR roof rack. It's loud and hurts fuel economy. I take my rack off when not using and just use the cross bars in winter for skis. Takes 30 min or less to take the rack off.

hey Ty got mine in October. for $3600 fully loaded with 141k miles. Took it to Iowa from New York and back, put a good 6k miles on it since then. i just did brakes and rotors yesterday, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the throttle body, rear hatch shocks, hood shocks, updated the grill to modern honeycomb style, new PCV valve, rear brake lines, Land Rover logo" projection door sill courtesy lights all 4 doors, clear side markers, got a newer navigation dvd on ebay for nothing, fixed passenger door lock, replaced pitted rear bumper with a+ condition ebay cover, new center caps, black land rover front and rear logo badges, cabin filter, engine intake air filter, shampooed/extract carpet, wiper blades front and back, got a used factory hitch on ebay in mediocre condition and rebuilt it, replaced missing engine cover, replaced booster vacuum pump mount, purchased iidtool and cleared all old codes, new oil filler tube, new TPMS Sensors next projects: i am surprised you can tint your windshield. i have never seen that.. at least more than the top 4-6 inches outside of New York.. i have been contemplating getting rims and "tough" tires on mine. I have seen these black rhino aresenal/armory wheels that look good but i'm not convinced yet. remove orange part out of the headlights, like i said wheels and tires, spark plugs + coils , and valve cover seals and other seals just because, new key fob shells, figure out the sunroof drains, and then look for random stuff like hub bearings, exhaust, and o2 sensors with cats. rebuild the air compressor Dreams: Roof tent, factory rover bumper brush guard bar winch? spotlights snorkel replace all air shocks spyder led/fiber optic tail lights trailer light wiring from atlantic british

Wise move replacing the airbag! I still have the air but it’s costly to maintain once it begins to fail, not to mention that emu setup is more capable for off roading, and the ride is arguably better... especially compared to old air.

$5K for one without a cracked dash? Deal of the century right there!

One of the best Land Rover Discovery's I've seen, very tastefull. Deffo a good move to take air bag suspension out, that would have failed. Will you be fitting a raised air intake? Very tidy for 187k miles 👍🏼

I'm buying a 2007 LR3 w 143k miles to use for camping and ski day vehicle....and for around town driving to save miles on my benz. I hear the 06-09 LR3 are the best years to buy, true?

How do the rear seat Weather tech floor mats fit? My front fit perfect on my 2007. But the rear cup holders press up on the rear mats and I can’t stand it.

I recommend having a gearbox and diff service will save you a lot of money if it goes wrong o maybe a nice light bar😁🇬🇧👍

The LR looks awesome, I love the new rims! Good to hear you went with the coils . Don't trust the roof rack though especially with heavier items, they are known to rip off on the highway, unless you bolt it THROUGH the roof panel. Sliding rivets will rattle and break off eventually under stress. Beauty of a ride you got bro! :)

Hi! You linked wheels with 5x4.5" PCD (that's 114.3mm PCD), afaik LR3 have 5x120mm. Can you confirm? I'm looking for good wheels on mine. Bought cheap trash and it bended already with half an year of not-so-hard use.

Definitely NOT dumb to remove the air suspension... you removed potential failure area from your rig ad installed a time tested suspension style.

Sorry but I'm ending the video now that I heard you got rid of the air suspension.... LAME!!!!!
