I'm buying a 2007 LR3 w 143k miles to use for camping and ski day vehicle....and for around town driving to save miles on my benz. I hear the 06-09 LR3 are the best years to buy, true?
How is possible you are able to use the traction mode with out installing the Atlantic British programming dongle i have 2008 and i can not use any traction mode and i am keep getting reduce the speed 30 mile only thing on my dash and yes i did replace my air suspension to coil
I have an E39M and I am also based in the Midwest (in Wisconsin). I noticed from one of your other videos that you sold this due to not being able to enjoy it enough with the long winters. Do you still have the E92M? If so, what’s the difference in sentiment between that and this as it relates to winters? I have had my eye on the M6 for a while now…
I actually live in Vermont these days so even more winter time haha. Both the E92 and M6 were great. I'd say I miss the M6 most just bc it's such a beast of a car but was so refined at the same time.
I HAVE THIS BMW M6 10 CILINDER WITH 20625 MILES , AND I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISION , I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEN TO A PROFESIONAL IN SPORTS CARS AND TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE HIDRAULIC UNIT OF THE TRANSMISION AND IT HAVE A PRICE OF AROUND $10,000 USD IS THEIR ANY OTHER CHOICE OR BEST PRICE ?
How do the rear seat Weather tech floor mats fit? My front fit perfect on my 2007. But the rear cup holders press up on the rear mats and I can’t stand it.
I have a 2014 M6 convertible- you’ll be using comfort mode most of the time when driving it normally. It’s very aggressive in sport and super sport modes… super aggressive shift points etc.
3 grand!? For intakes and down pipes and tune?? Could have don’t intakes yourself for sure first of all second of all down pipes is not that hard but down pipes are cheap the most expensive part would be the tune I don’t see that adding up to 3 grand at all maybe 1800 max I wouldn’t say you got a good deal on labor at all that’s just me tho
The stock wind faring made so much noise I removed them. I made a full face wind faring, installed it and found that it vibrated on the roof so I repositioned it about 1.5 inches above my roof and it was much quieter. I made a wind faring using a cardboard pattern as nothing was available from FR at the time I bought my rack. I used the cardboard pattern to fabricate one from 1/8 inch sheet metal, thinner metal vibrated too much. They have since offered a full face faring that actually duplicates the one I made several years ago. Thanks for your video.
I sold the car before I had a chance to find a solution. The splitter added a noticeable difference in downforce when I tracked the car which was awesome plus no shaking. That was at speeds 140mph+ (allegedly). Maybe some small bumper reinforcement is all it would take since it is just plastic
I just done the same location but trying bend lines in same orientation not easy but as long as it clear any rubbing points if you have one area that's bad trust there is more just as well buy 25 feet of line with plenty of unions , game changer is eastwood on car flaring tool 3/16 same double flare very easy tool to make flare in some tight places
Couple of questions, are the original pipes steel, not copper of cunifer? and what flaring tool did you use, because I am having no luck flaring the original factory pipes.
I used some cheap $50 din one on Amazon. I haven’t tested the brakes themselves yet but I did the flare laying on the ground under the truck on the old line. I found that I will never get anything close to a decent flare unless I seriously Debur the edges and make the flaring surface very round. I used a file and got it super clean and round. Then I had a pointy file and stuck it in the whole to make sure the surface was a clean circle to be ready to get flared. It is really hard to get a good flare especially holding the cheap clamps and trying to turn the yolk into the line. Being on the ground with barely any space doesn’t help. Let me know how it goes.
for a while I was having hard time with my air struts' although i had 2" spacer on top of each I still needed to replaces front struts' every year. I received yesterday the heavy duty air to coil suspension conversion kit and I was wondering if I should put the 2" spacers on top to gain more height? I do go off road often. Also, how hard was it to install the module?
Did you ever get moved from contract to a direct hire of General Motors? And I find this very interesting as I’m a co-op sculptor there at this point in time looking for a direct hire after I complete this program. I don’t see a lot of automotive sculpting on RU-vid and was potentially considering making informational videos about that topic. Keep up the good work! And I’d love a reply if you have time!
I left GM after 2.5 years to work at Navistar (international trucks) for a year. I have a totally different job in a different industry now after leaving Navistar. I really need to make an update video 😅😅😅
An inch below where you want your clay to be is a pretty safe bet. If you run into it while sculpting clay you can cut more chunks out or smash it in with a hammer to compact it.
