Hello folks! Today's video is along one about an LR3 Thermostat Removal W/O completely removing the Intake. In the end I'm able to prop it up gently with my hammer and get to the thermostat housing relatively easily. Doing an LR3 thermostat housing removal isn't really hard. There's just a lot of parts to take off. If anyone else can do it. You can too. I also show you in this video how to burp your coolant system in your Land Rover LR3 as well!

Love your video but you decided to access the housing the hard way. No need to remove the intake. Just need to remove the throttle body

Your video was super helpful! One thing I recommend is using the right coolant though. It shouldn't be green. The oem fluid is orange and the correct aftermarket ones are often pink.

Great video! Bummer that yours seemed to be leaking from the base. If it is not leaking from the base, you can actually separate the thermostat housing with the clip on it and avoid taking off the intake completely working from the front. Makes for a much easier job 👍👍

Well I turned down a lot of work unfortunately I don’t have a very strong economy myself and I really don’t know many folks that are doing all that well right now but it’s different for different parts of the country

100 times easy job If You just remove the throttle, change the thermostat housing and You are good to go...Good job but you made extremely complicated

It may very well have been but like I said, in the video that you must’ve missed, I had to take the Intake off…. And I didn’t see anybody else making a video about how “easy” it is. When I make videos, I make them from the position of 100% success.

I'm trying to figure this out, there must be a quicker way to replace this, the thermostat housing is 2 pieces, I keep thinking there is a way to remove the front 4 torx screws, take out the front part of the housing exposing the 4 bolts under the throttle. I've seen one video where they remove by just taking out throttle body but it seems so tight that it's probably far easier to lift the intake manifold
