Mine didn’t come with the trim covers so that’s why you didn’t see me take them off. Real easy to remove though. They are pressed on with clips so you can remove them with plastic trim tool by prying them up.
@tfletchera87 mine just came off at the car car wash. They are easy to remove. I'm getting this type of bars too. I'm just wondering about the open gap.
@@jeffcasson2670 much appreciated man! Being a dad is totally indescribable. I tell people all the time “it can’t be described only felt”. I didn’t even know I wanted kids but luckily Gods got my back haha. We have so much to show everyone with the new house and new projects going on. Lots of videos today when I feel like I have some free time. Keep on the look out for content and keep on wrenching 🤙
@@tfletchera87 When you take out the covers to install the bars you’re left with a channel (where water could collect). You can get finishing covers from landrover but they’re more expensive than the bars themselves. Did you bother?
@@wilsarno nope. I haven’t had any standing water issues or anything either. I also like having it open because it leaves more travel space for straps when attaching objects.
Haha I was literally waiting on a comment like this. I totally agree man. I almost deleted the video because of how I was constantly swinging the camera and holding it low the entire time. I think I spent more time looking with my own eyes instead of through the camera. It’s more information than I could find on youtube so I left it. Thanks for the “pro tip” and the view man. I’ll do better.
