It never feels like a complete trip without a Land Rover breaking something. They're built for off road trips between workshops. That little Series 1 was awesome. Walked up that hill too.
I’m hoping to have a regular mix up of old and modern on all the trips now! Nice to see the owners keeping the classics used on the lanes and not tucked up in a barn forgotten! 👍👍
@@ALL_4_WHEELS I've finally got my RRC sorted so if you have room in one of your groups let me know. I've not been out for a while now so I'm itching to take it on a decent trip.
Another great video, thanks! Love the turbo sound of the Mitsubishi and it is always a pleasure to see how easy the recovery LR 90 Pickup make it look so easy
Great video. Responsible driving - good PR for off roaders. The Series 1 rescue was good to watch - must have been bum twitching when the driver was slipping off the track!! However the rescue technique….v good to watch
Thanks Andy! Really appreciate your nice comment! Was a good recovery with a bridal rope pulled him up to safety. Thanks for watching enjoy the channel! 👍
Toll zu sehen. Wir sind den Track im Sommer mit unseren Wohnmobilen hoch. Bei Nässe nicht einfach. Macht einfach Spaß. Es gibt keinen Film - nur Bilder ;-)
Thanks for watching John! Yes was a very dodgy moment at least the guys managed to jump out and vehicle came to a stop… 👍👍things could of been alot worse….
Hey martoposons! Thanks for watching hope you enjoy the channel plenty of great off-road vids! Yes very close with the series one! Lucky the bailed out and it stopped where it did could of been a whole lot worse! Nicely rescued and back on the tracks!! 👍🤘🤘😎
Hey mark! Yeah just needed that little bit of a boost to gain bit more traction! But that poor series one took hell of a tumble!! Huge drop just behind it!! The lane was recently regraded and they took all the rocks from that corner and was slippery as hell!!
We’re not exactly sure what they used but got they didn’t even compact the stuff further down.. Glad your enjoying the vids!! Plenty more to come!! 😎👍👍
Can’t help but wonder here. Tyre pressure looks way to high on most vehicles, and why wouldn’t you carry a pair or 2 of max tray’s for the tricky situations you find your self in.
I had a series 1 when i was 15 paid £200 broke both chassis rails behind the cab sold it for £220 , i don't know why people praise land rovers they are a pile of crap , luckily i was on a farm one day and found a Austin Champ hidden under a pile of dead leaves with just the wing mirrors sticking out £80 i was a convert with a Champ you can drive around as fast as you want not crawl 😎
Ooh I love the Austin champs!! Land rovers do tend to be unreliable sometimes haha but I do prefer a classic land to any of the modern stuff!! Do you still have the Austin’s? Would be a great collectors piece now!
Love it! The skill and team work is a real testament to WWL. I'd come and join you for a trip but I am wrong side of the country and wrong tyres on my K74 L200. Oh the embarrassment of getting rescued all the time 😂
@@ALL_4_WHEELS does sound appealing. I'd need to get 60/40s all round, but also pick a gentler lane - I am pretty stock, no armoured sump guard etc. But it would be nice to spend a day in 4x4, low ratio + diff lock and mean it 😃
That’s out of my area I’m afraid buddy! Wales is our area I know few around Shropshire,Hereford etc but northing up north. have you watched my how to find green lanes vid???..
We’re running a bit behind with the classic run might be able to squeeze it in end September if not will be a winter trip in the oldies! Would you like to join us??
Haha good selection of vehicles here which was your favourite? Pretty good to have a mix up great British land rovers against jap pickups! 👌🏼👌🏼 enjoy the channel 👍
@@ALL_4_WHEELS love to join you if possible. Based in RCT. So not too far. It’s a standard D3 , shod with Falken wildpeak at3 tyres. As it’s my daily, ideally nowt too scratchy lol, although there are a few scratches already
I want you to do it in your D3 too. I don’t think any of those vehicles had Terrain Response and instead rely on lockers, etc. would be great to see if a D3 could get up it. I have a D4 and am pretty close by, but sold my lovely Grabber MTs last year. I’d have to try it on Pirelli road tyres which sounds a bit daft tbh. :/ I could take the wife’s Tesla I suppose. ;)
Oh yes!! I haven’t seen a series 1 go up Dunlop hill ever so was great to see it,and a good mix up of some old to modern vehicles! That was some recovery on the hill looks more dramatic in person as you could see the drop behind!
After that regrade it certainly caught everyone out in some way! You did well mate and at least you found a issue to sort out for the next adventure!! 👍
