Hi Andy - what a cool collection of Series Ones! And the sun was kind, too! Great to hear how enthusiastic the owners are about their cars. Consecutive plates and chassis numbers! Can you imagine electric car owners of the future looking after their cars like this? I think not! Nice Saab too! Great to see the lad with the little traction engine getting his hands in! Priceless. Great day out fella, thanks for sharing! :O)
My pleasure Mark thanks for watching this one. The Land Rover lot are passionate bunch which is nice to see , sone of them are very very knowledgeable as well. Yes can you imagine the electric brigade saying stuff like that , to be honest I don’t think we will all be driving electric cars any way , hydrogen is the future ;) ps was so cool seeing the lad with his miniature traction engine ;) cheers mate
Hi Peter hope your well , yes a shame you weren’t able to make it this year. Fingers crossed for 2024 ;) hope to see you later in the year maybe before carnforth Station . Best wishes Andy.
Cheers for the comment , loads of old Landys are not original but there are a lot that still are as well. Also owners adapt them to make them more useable , after all they are pretty much tractors
Sounds like a plan, car camping in the LR on a 2nd channel, get more views and subscribers? BLOT outdoors channel exploded, just a normal bloke like you 👍
Love series land rovers ,had many series 3’s and 2A’s over the last 30 odd years ..in the mid 80’s we used to build a lot of v8 series land rovers with the rover engine and a did a few .Chevy 350 small block ones too ..one with a weiand supercharger on it .did a few Perkins diesel ones as well ..I still think they are a lot better than the 90/110 .And the later defender ..the series styling knocks spots off the boringly designed defender front end ..I can never understand when land rover made the v8 series a flat front .it didn’t need to be ,that didn’t do it for me it looked like they gave up on styling with the flat front series and defender .the diffs out of the defender / Range Rover and disco work well in a v8 powered series .not so good on a 2 and a quarter petrol or diesel .too tall in fourth ..on flat ground they work, well but on hills not so good ..got to love a series ❤❤❤❤still got some parts in me garage from series 3 ‘s .a set of rear parabolic springs I never fitted .they never did it for me too soggy on road i felt
