Just saw you yesterday at La Cigale: thank you for everything, for this masterpiece of a concert! Man the energy was absolutely insane, already bought my ticket for Olympia ;) !
Intro translation: And it's the smell of hell A little sulfur and pain Which emanates and which tarnishes my soul and my color I can feel it burning my whole body I want to take her out, make her my mistake I encountered so many different demons I have braved so many waves and oceans But I still have this monster inside me that screams at me in the void
As a friend native speaker I feel like this translation is more accurate : And it's the smell of hell A little bit of ache and pain Which emanates and tarnishes my soul and colour I can feel it burning my whole body I want to take it out, make it my error I faced so many different demons I faced as many vagues and oceans But I always have this monster inside of me that screams at me in the void The "Her" would be a literal translation but since we're speaking about the creature, it doesn't have a gender so "her" doesn't work. In French nouns are either masculine or feminine but in English it doesn't apply, hence the change to "it".
This is their only 2nd best song since Lost In a wave. They have potential but they make such crap music. His voice is so so good but I hope this album makes them on the top
@@mannyblackstar😂 Such a backhanded compliment. No shot you think Lost in a Wave is their second best song. I think you need to give up liking them because I doubt it happens.
@@darklurker898 I've been known to Landmvrks since you come into metalcore genre son. And don't get offended because it's my view about them. Just read my comment either applaud or ignore. Don't be so salty
@@mannyblackstar"Applaud or ignore"? You came and gave your trash opinion no one asked for under someone else's comment. Should've taken your own advice. Applaud or ignore.
50 years old and yet so moved by their music ! So many layers. So many colors. So many feelings. So many moods. I'm back to my years discovering the richness of Faith No More bangers. Moved like when I blasted Bjork's masterpieces. Pumped up to the same levels of energy than with early Nu Metal classics. Good music, ain't it all you need in your life !!
I instantly fell in love with this song. I love Landmvrk's guitar tone, I think it's quite unique. And Flo, that man deserves a W at the end of his name for this performance. And the videos was quality.
I love the intro. The vocalist, Florent Salfati, has a solo rap/hip hop album under the name FLO. and that intro gave me a taste of that. Great stuff. I recommend the track Exodia.
Not my subgenre perhaps, but this goes hard from the French rap to the chorus to the breakdown. The falsetto in the chorus is what really gets me, surprisingly.
To be fair, that typically targets bands who have a lead up of some kind to indicate they’ve got more on the horizon. Landmvrks stayed quiet since their deluxe, turns out they were waiting for January lol.
I associate the Rock Festival in my small town with them where they headlined the first time I went there. Got a great t-shirt there also and talked with Elwood Stray, which were there the year after, last year, about their tour together (or rather, they told me) :)
Definitely one of the unique bands around. The balance of fun and emotional is really hard to nail. The video is also a haven of creativity. Well done guys 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
For some reason everytime I think about LANDMVRKS, I think about Resolve. Most likely it's because of the song Self-Made Blackhole. Fantastic band all around!
Amazing reaction bogdan. I love this song and video alot. One of the most talented bands in the metal scene. Flo's vocals are insane and beautiful. 🤘🔥🔥
This is such an incredibly interestingly written song, holy shit, not at all what I could have expected. It's like a perfectly balanced metalcore track, but completely differently put together. Wow!
I struggle to fully enjoy the Landmvrks production, but this was awesomely creative with a wicked chorus! Best video I've seen in quite some time too. They're enjoying the process, and it shows.
I get the feeling they're talking about being a child and possessing a fear, or a strict 'black & white' morality. Seeing this monster and saying, "Yep, that's a bad guy, I don't want to be that thing." And then growing older and realizing you've organically become the thing that you thought was so obviously malevolent and villainous as a child.
Just saw them live in Brisbane, Australia. First time they ever played this live. Their whole set was insane and they sound just as good, if not better live. Really hope we get an album this year.
